We love Pine Knoll, this campground has no frills but the price is great and location amazing. We are a family of 6 all the kids under 12 and we travel with three other family's, we return to Pine Knoll every year. The kids can be kids and run around and have fun in the playground with out being yelled...

Beer can in the weeds at our site, cigarette butts, band-aids. Tent site was large gravel (rocks), super-uncomfortable. Bathroom was wet and dirty. Really nasty. Run-down. Construction taking place at campground: bulldozers and such. A fairly unpleasant stay.

This campground cares little for the peaceful serenity of being at the lake. Extraordinarily loud music on the beach with someone squawking in a microphone. It is totally unnecessary on such a small beach. No lifeguard. understand why they have the rap they have. If you are looking to be in the quiet peaceful woodlands forget about this place. They...

Staff friendly but facility not up to the standards we'd found at other campgrounds on our vacation. Nearby bathroom needs updating, never had soap in men's room, shower was "not yet turned on" even though it was Memorial Day weekend. Something was said at check in about one shower area or the other turned on, they couldn't remember which, and...

It is a bit sketchy as you enter the camp. The staff were friendly, appreciative and helpful. It's a fairly big layout with various sections and a large ball field in the center with a playground and bb court.. The staff leave you alone and don't bother anyone. It seemed to us to be heavily populated with permanent campers. We...

My family and I stayed in the Iona Cabin. I was charged the deluxe price but there was NOTHING deluxe about it. Nothing in the cabin seemed to be maintained. The lights in the kitchen did not work. The a/c was broken. The windows were broken. They couldn't provide us with a key to the front door so they said...

We stayed 3 nights at Pine Knoll this month with our 6 children, and had a wonderful time. Sites are very well cared for, staff very nice & helpful, beautiful swimming lake, fun activities for children (flashlight candy hunt!), prices very low & reasonable; we highly recommend Pine Knoll. To quote my 10 yr old daughter: "Best place ever!"

This is a horrible place. Loud and full of party people. The bathroom smelled like sewage backup and in spite of my reporting to the office that there was no soap or paper towels in the ladies room, during my 2 days there this was never attended to. There were people down by the beach smoking pot in their campsites....

Let me start off by saying we have a 1 and 5 year old joining us on this camping trip. We have been camping a few times before with us 4, but at Greenville NH. We wanted a different pace this time around; try a place with some scenic hiking. We ended up going to Pine Knoll Campground and it...

“Campsite "0" was more private than others and seemed to be quieter. We also camped there during the week not on the weekend. It seemed a lot of the seasonal people were not there during the week....”
