The manager Lisa not only tried to rent my weekly out from under me, her "husband" would not fix my screen or window, they invaded my privacy, did not forward my mail which was a pay check! and called the police after They (Lisa and...More

You've have to experience the joy of having a great staff working for you to understand. A few years back we had some tough times. I can only apologize to this guest and hope they will stay with us again so we can show them...More
Reservations made through - RCI and Worldmark exchange.
WOW - We loved your beds!! Great decor. and furnishings. A little smaller than our Worldmark 1 bedroom place - great location. The pool wasn't operating at the time we were there, but we only stayed 1...More

I can't speak for the former owners (prior to May 2008). I just know we're doing great by our guests today in 2015. Give us a try.
I did not stay at this hotel. I booked throught AAA in 5-07. After a late night flight, I spent 1&1/2 hour looking for this hotel only to find it was an old Econo Lodge. No where did it say Desert Rose Inn and no...More

This one is a little confusing. I know that prior to my takeover in May of 2008 the Desert Rose Inn was a Travelodge for many many years, not an EconoLodge. Give us a try. We're constantly improving the motel to make our guest's stay...More
Location was not great. Room was not very pleasant, i.e. small and little dirty. Could smell smoke even though it was non-smoking room. Good for a nights stay, and don't want to spend day or multiple nights

The motel has been under new management since May of 2008. In that time I have dealt with the problems that beset many downtown districts. There are prostitutes, alcoholics, drug abusers and scam artists to name a few. I will say though having dealt with the San Francisco downtown scene that Reno is mild by comparison. As far as the Desert Rose Inn we have zero tolerance for any disruptive behavior. We have been applauded by the Reno PD for our ongoing efforts to provide a quiet and safe environment for our guests. Our staff is constantly vigilant to guests needs and peace of mind.
