My family and I had stayed here for a full month upon arriving in Reno. We looked at all the motels down town Reno that offered weekly rates. Being close to the casinos I was very surprised that we were really safe. Lacy From the...More
We loved the Desert Rose Inn. Got four rooms. One was a free upgrade. The folks who work there are all great. I'd stay there again without hesitation. Except, I'd book direct with the motel and not use getaroom nor Trip Advisor.

I gave this place two stars because it is close to the casinos, freeway, and downtown Reno but the place itself is not very desirable at ALL. I lived here for nearly a year and the management is rude most of the time but actually...More
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for a family reunion in the Reno area. While the neighborhood is a little sketchy we felt perfectly safe at the hotel. Lacy (front desk) was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It...More

The motel has been under new management since May of 2008. In that time I have dealt with the problems that beset many downtown districts. There are prostitutes, alcoholics, drug abusers and scam artists to name a few. I will say though having dealt with the San Francisco downtown scene that Reno is mild by comparison. As far as the Desert Rose Inn we have zero tolerance for any disruptive behavior. We have been applauded by the Reno PD for our ongoing efforts to provide a quiet and safe environment for our guests. Our staff is constantly vigilant to guests needs and peace of mind.
