The hotel is old, but they have updated the rooms somewhat, ours was very clean, had new carpeting. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly we felt safe, and the services we used were great. It is not an expensive hotel, very budget friendly.

Don't expect to get the room you pre-paid for if you use a outside vendor like hotel.com, Expedia.com or thru TripAdvisor.com. We booked a 2 night stay and upon arrival we were told they didn't have us for 2 nights and proceeded to give us a lesser quality of room. We booked a King bed not 2 full beds. The...

They have cleaned it up a lot! Everyone was very friendly and service was great. We ate at Mel's and it was good...I forgot they cook their hamburgers well done (yes it said that on the menu so shame on me) so being well done it just didn't have that great flavor. But big portions etc. we will be back!

Coming home from a trip to Utah we stayed at the Sands, our usual go to place, the bathroom was dirty tho, with not only dirt on the floor but dried something on the floor, the outside of the tub was dirty and so was the bathroom counter. Staff was friendly and they have parking. The buffet was a disaster and I don't recommend. Or at least, don't plan on getting a drink till you are almost done eating, along with the ordered steak. The buffet food was not bad, but I recommend passing on the steak. Make sure your room is not near an elevator shaft as...

Right outside my room was the train track and a train coming/leaving every hour kept me up half the night, if the Rome wasn't comped it would be 2 stars. We ate 2 for 1 buffet and while the restaurant was a little dingy the food was half decent, prime rib was good

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life. They should just tear it down and start over. I have stayed here for a few weeks on business. I have had to move rooms numerous times because they keep having to shut things down. If my company would have let me stay somewhere else...
