My wife and I will continue to stay at the Carson Valley Inn when we travel along Highway 395. Our spacious room featured a comfortable, firm king bed and plenty of space. I spent several hours sitting in the upholstered chair with my feet propped up on the ottoman sipping coffee, reading and relaxing. The bathroom was a big as...

We had another great stay and time at Carson Valley Inn. While the rooms are older, both the room and the bedroom are spacious The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Its nice to be able to get fresh air into the room. They also have air conditioning and a good heating system. TV has lots of channels...

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are glad you enjoy your stays. Point of clarification regarding our rooms. All of the rooms in the main Hotel have been remodelled in the last five years or less. We went from a a Country Inn feel to what I call more of a Mountain Lodge feel. We are continuing...

Paid for a time share presentation by Dave Walley's Resort in Genoa. Because they are remodeling all of the units, they put us here. It was wonderful. Large quiet handicapped room for my Mom and me. We were on the same floor as the casino and restaurants so it was very easy to get around. Food was good in both the...

Very pleasant front desk; room clean, lots of counter space in bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Fridge, large TV. Cons: not many outlets (3); none on lamps at bedside or desk. No makeup mirror in bathroom, straight (not curved) curtain rod in shower. I could hear the tv next door.

We live in Reno and recently stayed at this hotel for a lovely getaway. The remodeled rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. Our room was incredibly clean and quiet. The employees are extremely friendly and personable. They remembered our names and the bartender engaged in pleasant conversation while we were playing at the casino bar. We had...

I stay in the main hotel ( not motor lodge which is very noisy) at least twice a month. All the rooms seemed to be decorated exactly the same which is boring after time. My last stay in room 232 had a horrible mattress which resulted in a bad nights sleep. Smoke odor in the hotel is really bad also!...

Dear Business Traveler: Thank you for your review. Your comments have been duly noted and we are addressing the issues. We are looking at the bed in 232 as we speak. It is possible we missed a bed that needed replacing our last go around. We do have extra beds in inventory to replace a bed at a moment's notice....

I recently stayed at the Carson Valley Inn while on business in Gardnerville. Upon arrival I was immediately put off by the poor lighting, outdated decor and stale stench of cigarettes lingering in the corridors. That said, my room was odor-free, the bed was comfortable and I slept really well. Every hotel employee I encountered was exceptionally friendly, and breakfast...

Thank you for your comments and we are very happy to hear that our staff is doing a nice job of making you feel welcome and that you liked the cleanliness of the property and the food in our restaurants. We stayed at this hotel for a car meet, the staff was friendly and courteous and the restaurant on property served excellent meals. It is close to Carson City and all its attractions. Was an easy daytime drive to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City.

We pulled into this hotel pretty late but they still had rooms available. We opted to stay in the lodge which is in a separate building from the hotel and casino and priced a little lower.
