The rooms are really good, beds comfortable and the entire property does not smell of cigarette smoke even if folks are smoking in the casino, that is incredible. However, the food court leaves a lot to be desired, especially the pricing. To compare, the price of a burger at Johnny Rockets in the food court is more than a gourmet burger at Planet Hollywood's Gordon Ramsey joint. Additionally, there are no water fountains anywhere that I could find on the casino floor or along the restaurants and food court, so you either buy alcohol or soda, both overpriced.

Sink was dirty when we got in and the toilet was clogged, though we couldn't complain much as they had upgraded our room without us asking - even though the room wasn't extravagant and had these issues. The view was really nice. I'd hate to imagine what a regular room is like. Though another couple trying to check in with us had a bad experience with the first room they were put in. We could hear them describing the walls and floors... Then the second room had people already in it. Maybe this is why we got a surprise room upgrade too. And our room upgrade was only dirty in our sink, so we considered that a win with how the other couple described their initial room. On another note, if you have a car, mention it in check in so you'll only be paying $20/night with in out privileges vs $25 each time you park. We found that out too late.

This Hotel is clearly showing its age , needs a refurbishment of rooms and also re think it’s facilities in the rooms regarding a fridge to use and not be charged per day to use. For what you pay in resort fees I think complimentary in room facilities (they make enough each year to facilitate this) I know it’s pretty standard practice in USA but resort fees - really wifi and a fridge to use is really what travellers like as standard in their rooms. Housekeeping was good absolutely no problems with it maybe not as much attention to detail as other chains we have recently stayed in. Come on large Vegas chains start thinking about travellers needs and not tripping them off with these “extra fees” Also Valet parking not just here although the staff were wonderful the fees are just an extra over inflated cost to the international travellers. Probably wouldn’t stay there again as looking very tired in the room We stayed in.

First of all, there's no directory when checking in Online on how to get the room. We had to go fishing and ask every employee we saw on there Ghetto towers I mean Studio Towers was at. One Housekeeping lady told us that we were in the wrong tower and come to find out after walking in circles, our room was 4 doors from where she was cleaning! 1st level is the worse as so many people walk by 24/7 making lots of noise walking by to get to their room or elevator! The window view shows a wall and rocks! Horrible! God forbid you touch a beverage or anything around the fridge or they'll charge you for looking at it! With the hundreds of thousands of dollars they're making with parking alone, they should clean those elevators and escalators from graffiti, trash and smell which they are NOT! Why do guests and locals have to pay to park when we're already paying an astronomical amount for a mediocre room? Ridiculous greed from Corporate at an all-time high and getting greedier! Pathetic if you ask me!

Unfortunately, I had numerous issues with my stay. Housekeeping was not consistent and lacked any effort to maintain my room on a daily basis. I had to go down to the lobby and request housekeeping after the first night just to get fresh towels. Every night/morning after that it was all off. One morning they made the bed, left dirty towels on the floor, provided clean towels and did not take out the trash. The next day they took the dirty towels, took out the trash, but left the dirty dishes and did not take out the trash. In a four night stay, we never received a "full clean" of the room.
The parking that I paid for (20.00 a day) was never loaded onto my key cards, which required me to always ring the front desk at the parking gate for them to manually raise the gate even after going back to the lobby twice to reprogram my cards. When I went to the gold lobby, I also was told by one agent that parking was going to be free based on my loyalty status (Marriott Bonvoy) and stated he put it on my cards. However, then the next day the key card still didn't work, so I again went to the gold lobby and another agent told me what the previous agent told me was incorrect. Then I was told to register for your MGM Military & Veterans program because I could receive free parking that way. But, I couldn't use it for this stay because when I tried to use that instead on the third day of trying to get out of the parking garage, the attendant told me it actually takes 72 hours for the veteran status to be applied. So, I still had to pay for parking after being told by three separate times I would get the discount. Lastly, I paid the additional (add-ons) fee to request a late check -out for 3pm for $50.00. On our departure day, my husband and I went to lunch and came back, we were unable to go back to our rooms because the keys had already expired. I, again, went to the gold lobby to find out what's going on and they had already checked me out, I couldn't see my room on your app and I had already received my hotel receipt assuming we were checked out. The agent told me we were checked out and started to scare me by calling someone on the phone to ensure my personal belongings were still in my room and weren't placed anywhere. It was only 1:30 pm at this time, well before the time I specifically paid for and requested, which was 3pm.
All of these above issues is what really drove me to annotating a 2 on the scale if I was to refer someone to stay at the MGM. This review is what I left on their survey as well which is why it is written in the format to someone at the hotel property.

The only positive thing I can think to share was that the bed was pretty comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Outside of that... our room was not very clean (lots of stains on the couch, mysterious substances on the upholstered wall above the bed that acted as something of a headboard, and we discovered dust bunnies and garbage under the nightstands when I dropped something on the floor I had to retrieve. The outlets both on the wall and the bedside lamps were so loose that our phone chargers didn't remain functional the entire night - something I learned when my phone died in the night and my alarm didn't go off, causing me to be late to the conference I was attending at the hotel.
The air conditioner did not work particularly well and the only way to keep the room at a comfortable temperature throughout the day was to keep the blackout curtains drawn - my husband was working from the hotel room while I was in my conference so he spent all day in essentially a cave because of this.
We also didn't like any of the restaurants in the hotel, and because of the location on the strip, we had to do a lot of walking both for lunch and dinner (we skipped breakfast all together).
I had never been to the MGM before, and Google had it listed as a 4 star hotel, so I had somewhat high expectations, and I was majorly let down. The conference I attended will be held at the MGM Grand again next year and if I attend, I will most likely be considering staying elsewhere.

Service: Overall service was good. We checked in on Thursday and front desk was efficient and friendly. However, we woke up to no hot water on Friday morning so cold showers. Also, the shower was leaking around the base onto the floor. They did come and fix the water the same day while we were out but the person who came to fix our shower on Friday removed some of our towels and left their trash in our bin and housekeeping did not come that day at all. Also, the shower was still leaking when we left. Bathroom – There are no towel bars, only one double hook so limited places to hang anything. There is limited counter space. The toilet requires you to hold the handle down until it is finished flushing or it does not flush. The bathroom doors are two sliding doors that meet in the middle and do not latch or lock. There is only a small corner shower and no tub. The do provide lotion, body wash, shampoo, & conditioner. The Room: No coffee maker, refrigerator or microwave. There is an existing refrigerator filled with for purchase items, but you cannot use it for anything else including keeping water cold. TV limited channels that do not come in most of the time. Seems to be internet based and the WiFi there is not good. Phone signal weak most of the time. I have been a Marriott rewards member for years and my default requests were not met (low floor, extra pillows). Also had a lovely view of the roof. I did get into my room very early which was a bonus. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. In general, be aware there is no place to sit down anywhere. Not even in the lobby. I realize they want to you sitting in front of a slot machine but there should at least be seating in the lobby area when you are waiting to check in or get a taxi.

Star ratings were mostly lost in the first few hours. On arrival at check in we were told that we had booked a very basic room that was very small but could upgrade to a more suitable room with a view of the Strip for US$60 per night - oh well we’re on holidays so why not? On entering the room it’s fair enough to say that we were a bit underwhelmed by the partial view of the Strip. We went to shower and found that the body wash and hand soap bottles were empty. The water was lukewarm in the shower with average water pressure. The wash basin/sink had some form of blockage that stopped it from draining at any effective rate. So we went to raise it at the desk as we were going out. Disinterested and abrupt would possibly best describe the reaction. When we asked whether it could be addressed whilst we were out, we were asked if we thought maintenance should be called - I thought obviously as well as housekeeping to fill up the bottles. The person then said, “well if you’re not happy you can just go back to your original booked room”. We now thought why not since we’re probably only going to sleep there, we’ll spend that money on a good time. We were certainly thinking the worst when it came to the originally booked room. Our room now was in the Suite Tower which was a walk towards the back of the casino and down the hall (obviously no view). Other than that the room was extremely good. Unlike the reception’s description given to us, the room was quite large we thought, with plenty of room either side of the bed, and two chairs. It certainly didn’t feel as of it was any smaller than the upgrade. The bathroom was large and much nicer in appearance. The water was hot with good water pressure. We were happy we decided to take up the curt comment at reception. As for the rest of the experience - it’s just another casino with limited dining and entertainment. It’s pretty much at one end of the Strip but the bus outside takes you all along anyway so no big deal. We knew it wasn’t upmarket like the Venetion or Bellagio hence the relatively good price. But if you’re in our price range I would consider ‘New York’ across the road which was far more equipped with entertainment and eating options.

Bonvoy members beware. Mlife/MGM does not honor your Bonvoy Status. Don't believe the advertising. MGM does not understand partnering. No late check out. No upgrades. No recognition of status. Maid service will be knocking on your door within 5 minutes of check out asking why you have not left your room. Poor partnership Mlife. Stop inviting Bonvoy members if you are going to treat Titanium members this way.

You can always call and ask, but their service has really tanked. When I asked for. Newer pillow or down, pillow, I was told all that they had was what was in the room. It was hard, flat and probably 20 years gross. I pack a small desktop fan shaped like a cone that I use on the nightstand, but then again I found as others did that there were no usable outlets other than the ones in the bathroom. Plugs just tipped over and fell off because they need to be replaced.
There are more places to choose from in the Las Vegas area.
