We were staying on the strip but decided to check out the scene downtown. Checked in at the front desk and were immediately treated very well including being provided with a map of the resort along with a key to the pool area so we could check out the sharks first hand. Later, we caught a free craps lesson and...

The suites at the Nugget are as luxurious as the suites at the mega-resorts on the strip at a fraction of the price. The big suites overlook the Shark Tank swimming pool with floor to ceiling glass facing the desert sunset. The hot tub in the loft has a television and overlooks the ground floor ( it is a two...

The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The entire floor is non-smoking which is a nice touch. Some of the amenities are a little expensive - a $4 bottle of water?- but if you don't use them you get a perfectly good room for a reasonable price. There are some self service check in kiosks near the elevators which...

This is my favorite downtown hotel. I absolutely adore watching the fish at the 360 tank at the pool. There are multiple bars in the pool area and awesome soft couches and fire pits so you can really enjoy the pool area when it's too cool to swim, maybe more. One of the larger, most polished casino areas of the...

We were a group of three couples that made our reservations using three different websites. The coupon offers were not consistent and many were not coupons but merely advertisements. Upon check in you are greeted with a smile but when you have a problem or concern no one is willing to truly help you. Music in the lobby is loud...

Can't believe for a casino so big thy can't give the guests free WiFi. Shame, shame, on you! Also $10.00 for the coffee yo put in the coffee maker. Pure greed. The pool is too small for all the guests. There should be 2 or 3 more pools for a hotel this size.

We have stayed on the Strip and out of town in a Condo rental but our favorite place to stay is the Golden Nugget. The rooms in the Rush Tower are nice and all of the amenities you would want are close by without walking for miles and miles. We also like the lower prices you find being away from...

After staying at several Strip Hotels wanted to change things and decided to stay on Freemont street. The Golden Nugget had good reviews and was recommended by friends. This hotel/casino is a gem! Stayed in the Rush Tower and was upgraded to a suite upon arrival which was a nice treat. The room was very spacious with views of Freemont...

Just recently returned from a trip to Vegas where two nights of our 7 nights were spent on Freemont staying at the Golden Nugget. This is our second time staying there. We stayed on a Wed/Thurs night and upgraded to the Gold VIP room for only $100 per night! Gold VIP has private floor, free Wifi and large clean room....

If you're a fan of old Vegas like me, you'll love the over-the-top atmosphere of the lovely Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in the revitalized downtown Las Vegas. From the centerpiece three-story shark tank pool/slide to the cheesy Rush Lounge, the drinks are solid, more affordable than the hotels on the Strip, and Claim Jumper is open 24/7! The staff...
