Price was okay, but there were drawbacks too. Rooms are dated and need to be remodeled. Air conditioner in my room was very loud. Location is away from the Strip and it is always a pain to get there. Also, I think the area this hotel is in is kind of raunchy. The pool is extremely small for Vegas. On... More

We stayed at Sam's town about ten years ago and enjoyed it so we decided to try again. We were not let down. At $29 a night (plus an $11 ridiculous resort fee that all hotels started charging here) you would expect a bad experience but it's not. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The decor is a little... More

We had a reasonably good experience until our Sunday morning checkout. On our way I had thoughts about coming back again and would have rated this place a 4 on the 5 scale. But the lady at the lobby counter gave me some double talk which sounded like she was going to put $31.18 on my card which at first... More

Arranged us to the room right next to elevator so we can enjoy the thundering sound from elevator coming up and down; then I asked for another room, rude staff at front desk put us in a room that has much more noise, believe it or not! because they managed to find a room that is facing directly to the... We've been staying at Sam's Town for 10 years for a bowling tournament that's held the first week of June. For the last couple of years we've been considering staying somewhere else, and next year we will. Sam's Town is steadily going downhill, and it appears that they aren't putting any money (or maintenance) back into the hotel. While we... More

Being billed as "where locals go" is certainly true. It has a less stressful feel to it than the strip hotels. It has the gaming and shows but with a friendlier touch and less pressure. The upgrading of the restaurants also helps.

My friend and I stayed at Sam's Town the weekend of May 30th, 2014 with the bowling league I was in. The hotel check in is just outside of the Mystic Falls area which is very pretty and has a free laser light show. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I was disappointed to not have a coffee maker in... More

Other reviews we read talked about the hard beds. Ours was nice and soft, as were the pillows. The room was spacious and clean. Not a lot of channel on the TV, but who goes to Vegas to watch TV. We spent $5 on one of their computers to print out boarding passes. They print so large that the bar... More

The room was decent, but not as nice as Eastside Cannery next door. My biggest complaint was the tub wouldn't drain (which grosses me out). Our room had a view of the parking garage roof. I think others had a view of the atrium which would have been nice. The casino/hotel was extremely difficult to maneuver from the parking garage... More
