My husband and I live about an hour from Vegas. We come to Vegas often and stay over on a Saturday night. We've stayed at other places and Sam Town is now the only place that we will stay during the pandemic. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than at the station casinos, the strip or downtown (yes you still have to wear your mask and practice social distancing but there isn't security screaming at you about it like everywhere else). There's a good vibe and balance between following the rules and still allowing people to have fun. They are also one of the few hotels left in Vegas to have smoking rooms. Let's face it why do people come to sin city...to drink, smoke and gamble. The TGI Fridays and a dunkin donuts are an added bonus. The rooms are clean and theres a Walmart right across the street. The only downfall is that you can't win any real money here on the slots. The slots will let you play for a while but not really win anything. My husband and I have won 25 handpays at other casinos last year alone but never a handpay at Sam's town nor have I ever seen anyone get a handpay. Overall it's a great place to stay but not so great to play at.…
Had a safe trip vacation here. Rooms were clean and you could ask for everyday service or not...casino slots machines were blocked so safe distancing was done, everyone wore masks. Bingo hall had seats blocked off for safe distancing.
Our second visit in a month during these hard times. Staff from check-in, housekeeping, security, casino floor servers and cleaners, restaurant staff was amazing Our room was pristine, we felt very safe playing slots and table games. The cleaning crew is everywhere and always smiling. Compared to other Vegas casinos and the strip Sam's Town wins it all.
Really liked the room. Spacious and clean. We like slots, only okay, lots of outdated choices. Disappointed the laser show was cancelled. Oddly the website said bowling was cancelled due to covid-19, that was open. Said laser show was on... Regardless, ask for an upper floor interior room, it was nice.
