The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa is widely recognized for its exceptional service, with staff members who are both friendly and professional, though a few guests have encountered inconsistencies. Its prime location is a hit among guests, offering easy access to the Strip and local attractions, while maintaining a tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle. The hotel's cleanliness and non-smoking policy receive high marks, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.
However, some guests mention additional fees affecting the hotel's value and note occasional noise disruptions. The array of amenities, including a pool and gym, adds to the appeal, even as opinions on room decor and maintenance vary.

My son and I stayed in Las Vegas for one night because we went to see The Eagles in concert at the Sphere. We chose The Westin because it is within walking distance of the Sphere, which was super convenient. They have a nice parking garage right next to the hotel, where you can park your own car and come and go as you please. The Westin was wonderful because they did allow us to stay for only one night, while other hotels in Vegas required a minimum of two nights. The Westin is also one of the only hotels we found in Las Vegas that is a “non-smoking” hotel, which we really appreciated!!! We arrived sooner than we anticipated on the day of the concert and a wonderful concierge named Mylin somehow arranged for an early check-in for us. This was so helpful because we were tired from our drive from LA and then were able to relax and rest up in our room at the Westin before the show. Mylin also gave us a room with a view of the Sphere, when she learned we were seeing a concert there that night. That was really fun, to watch the ever-changing surfaces of the Sphere while were getting ready for the show. We also had fun watching it later that night after the concert, and the next morning. Mylin also gave us complimentary coupons for a free dessert and drink at the bar during our stay. The restaurant in the Westin was delicious, and all of the staff members that we met during our stay were super nice and very helpful. The Starbucks coffee shop in the hotel lobby is open from 5 am to 5 pm, which we also really appreciated! We highly recommend the Westin.

We chose this hotel specifically for the Marriott elite benefits. Although they were not able to upgrade us to a suite, they upgraded us to a nice Sphere view room which was very much appreciated. Along with the room upgrade, the staff provided us 4pm late check out and 2 a la carte breakfasts vochers for each day of our stay, as well as 2 dessert and drink vochers. They also gave us lots of bottle water to handle Vegas' dryness.
Another reason we picked this hotel is because it was a non-smoking, no-casino hotel. With its location just a block off the strip it also is much quieter at night, which we very much appreciate.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vegas with family for leisure.

I spent one night at the Westin after having stayed at a big, fancy hotel on the Strip for several nights. For me, it was a relief to experience the peace and quiet of the Westin after the sensory overload of the larger, crowded Strip hotel. Just walking into the Westin lobby, where there were only about 10 people and it was serenely quiet, was like a sigh of relief.
This Westin is like a Marriott brand hotel anywhere in terms of decor. It's not fancy or memorable. Rooms are slightly worn, although very clean and comfortable. After being on the Strip for a few days, with all the glam decor, the Westin definitely felt different. However, the price tag reflects this. The Westin is much, much less expensive than the hotels right on the Strip, but it's still easily walkable to all the action. I had a quick and easy check-in at the front desk, no line whatsoever, and was in my room relaxing within minutes. I asked for a room with a view of The Sphere and boy did I get it -- this hotel has wonderful views of The Sphere!
I had a nice dinner at The Good Plate, the restaurant in the lobby. I was one of two people in the restaurant at 6:00 PM. Again, after all the noise, lines, and crowding of the Strip hotel, this space and quiet felt wonderfully indulgent. In the morning, I went down to Starbucks in the lobby. There was no line. Contrast this with the *one hour* chaotic wait at the Starbucks in the Strip hotel. The Westin is just easy, and I liked that. Unlike Strip hotels, there didn't seem to be a line of taxis available at the Westin, so I called a Lyft when I needed to head to the airport. The trip took 10 minutes with little traffic.
Overall, I would not stay here with a group of friends while partying in Vegas, but I would absolutely stay here solo, with a family, or if you just want a quiet space that's still near the Strip.

Complaint Regarding Smoke Alarm Charge and Manager's Behavior
We stayed at your hotel from December 30 to 31 and January 1 to 2. I am writing to express my concerns regarding a disturbing incident during my stay and the unprofessional handling of the situation by your staff and manager.
On December 31 check-out, we were informed by your staff that a smoke alarm had been triggered in the middle of the night while we were in the room. This alarm caused us significant distress. When we asked for clarification, the staff member mentioned it was a "smoking detector" but assured us that it would not sound in the room. This left us puzzled and concerned—why was there no audible alarm if smoke was detected?
We want to emphasize that neither I nor my companion smoked in the room (though we understand this may be hard to believe). The situation made us feel unsafe and uneasy, especially since no alarm sounded to warn us with smoke. We also questioned the accuracy of the detector too old? Could it be overly sensitive or faulty?
The staff member suggested we discuss the matter with a manager, and we agreed to follow up upon our return on 1/1. However, when we raised the issue with the manager in the lobby, his attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. While he provided an official explanation and promised to submit the incident report to the smoke detector company, he abruptly ended the conversation before we were finished, leaving with a curt "Have a nice day" This was not only disrespectful but also completely unexpected from someone in a managerial position.
The manager promised that a report regarding the smoke alarm would be submitted to the alarm company, and the results would be emailed to us within 5–7 business days. However, we are concerned about whether this will happen, as no further details or reassurances were given.
To summarize, our complaints are as follows:
1. Unclear and Unfair Handling of the Smoke Alarm Incident: How does your hotel handle such situations, and what procedures are in place to ensure the accuracy of smoke detector readings before penalizing guests?
2. Unprofessional Behavior of the Manager on January 1: The manager’s dismissive attitude and abrupt departure were unacceptable. We demand a formal apology from the manager in question.
We chose your hotel because of trust and expected better service. Instead, this incident has left us feeling anxious, mistreated, and reluctant to trust your hotel again.
I request a thorough investigation into this matter, a copy of the alarm company’s report, and an explanation of your policies regarding smoke alarms and guest fines. I also expect an apology from the manager involved.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to hear back from you promptly.

Dear 929lyl, We have taken a look at the smoking charge listed on your room and can attach the smoke report for this occurrence. We just need a good email address to send it to. We will also escalate this to the device engineering team for review. It does take 24 to 48 hours for them to get back to us on their findings. Please allow us this time to have this reviewed for you, we apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

This hotel is a breath of fresh air (literally) compared to most hotels in the area. Clean, welcoming and just steps from the main strip. Has plenty of amenities, a good pool, and large rooms.
For check-in Mylin was fantastic and helped find us an available room early in the morning so we could start the day refreshed and not have to worry about subsequent follow ups to the front desk! She was very attentive and provided helpful information about local events and activities.
Will definitely return.

For business I’m staying here at the Westin Las Vegas the hotel it’s a beautiful clean and quiet hotel. they have one restaurant name “the good plate” I had my breakfast there this morning then went to work got back and decided to have a late lunch / early dinner. My server was really helpful with the menu and what I should get I gave her my order then asked if I can run to my room and put my things away. I ended up staying in my room for a while answering phone calls when I got back to the restaurant Lei my server was nice enough to have the kitchen re-make my food so it wasn’t cold. Everything was good the wing and chicken teriyaki bowl was so good my server was really helpful and very attentive the only thing that got me upset is that her manager Heather approach her about her service right in front of me I fell as that should have been done away from me and the front of the restaurant. I’m a manager myself and she should have not done that. My server did a great job making sure I was happy so I don’t understand why the manager would do something like that. I waited for Heather to walk away. so I could check on my server to make sure she was ok.

Located midway on the strip close to the sphere, the Linq Promenade and Vegas Boulevard. Casino free. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Housekeeping never came to our room, even though do not disturb sign was off the door, but they did bring extra towels when we called. The hotel has a spa, restaurant, bar, Starbucks and pool (pool was closed in March while we were there). Had lunch in the restaurant, burger was ok, they put mayonnaise on it even though I told them I was allergic, it took 10 minutes for someone to come back so I could tell them, then another 20 minutes for me to get a new one that was cold and dry. Parking is 25.00 USD daily for valet and 18.00 daily for self park. They also charge a daily 35.00 destination fee. Marriott will not give credit for nights stayed here if you book with a group. You have to spend hours on the phone with Marriott begging for credit for dollars spent as well.

It's been a few years since we've been to Vegas and I use to stay here quite often for work - I was so impressed with my return. The hotel looks great, there is no longer a casino on-site which allows for a more inviting lobby area. You can walk to the strip and the tram for easy access to all the glitz, glam and craziness Vegas has to offer, but enjoy relaxation at your hotel while still having a bar, restaurant, gym and pool with food and cocktail service including cabanas available.
They recognized my Marriott status (Titanium and PM life) we chose the free breakfast as our benefit and this was fantastic. The food was great with plenty of options. Portion sizes were enough to split (but we didn't) service was excellent and breakfast is available from 6 a.m. to noon which was very helpful for an early morning return. We were also given 2 drink coupons and a free desert per night.
Our room had a small sofa - but the best was our view, you have a view of the EYE ferris wheel AND now the new sphere. The sphere is a real treat to just sit and watch all the videos throughout the day and night. We liked the big Yellow "guy" who every morning woke up, opened his eyes and gave us a smile to watching whales swim. This was outside the odd numbered rooms.
I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay. Location and service for a great price.

My family and I chose to head to Vegas to see the Anita Baker concert and to add to my travel/lifestyle vlog content, which means that we wanted the "Vegas Experience" but not to be consumed by it. We chose the Westin Las Vegas Hotel and Spa because we are Marriott Bonvoy members and because of the reputation of the Westin brand.
This Westin location is perfectly situated within walking distance of the Vegas strip but far enough away to escape the busyness of it all. Being that I vlog my travels on my YouTube page (Coupled and Cultured) I reached out to this location to ask for an upgrade that would give me the best view from the room. I was not disappointed when the manager quickly reached out to me with an upgrade that included a great view of the Linq Highroller Wheel, which is beautifully illuminated at night.
Once we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful lobby (with a lobby bar, restaurant, and Starbucks!) Our room was nice, clean, and came with the view that we were promised.
During our stay we took advantage of the spa (The steam room is 1st come, 1st served and included with your stay) and it was beautiful, relaxing, and usefulafter full days of walking around Vegas. We also visited the pool which had a nice, chill crowd on a Saturday! And... I refuse to admit how many times I ordered the Warm Apple Tart via room service (It was DELICIOUS and so was the steak and eggs for breakfast!).
We stayed for 3 nights and when it was time to leave check out was fast and easy. Overall I truly enjoyed my stay! If I'm ever back in Vegas I'd definitely return to the Westin and I also recommend it to my "Coupled and Cultured" followers/subscribers, as well as travelers from my other travel groups! I'll be uploading a full video review of the Westin and Vegas as whole on my YouTube channel (Coupled and Cultured) that will include some video clips as well!
If you're heading to Vegas and want nice accommodations that do you include a casino in the lobby, then this is the perfect place to stay!

I felt compelled to share that our experience at the Westin in Las Vegas was exceptional. We arrived on August 1 in the early afternoon and were treated by the gentleman handling arrival and valet parking. He was friendly, thoughtful, and just a pleasure. Once inside the lobby, we were treated by a lovely young woman at the front desk who took care of us promptly and politely. We had the chance to go to our room on the 15th floor and relax briefly.
We headed to Tuscany for the inside Shakedown Street, arriving and staying to attend the Dead and Company show on August 1 and August 2.
On Friday, we left to visit family, and when the valet person retrieved our car, he put up the sun shades to block the heat and keep the car as cool as possible. This was such a kind thing to do. He also gave us each bottle of cold water, as it was already close to 100 degrees outside.
The front desk and restaurant employees consistently showed friendly, kind, and prompt attention to us.
I will certainly both recommend and stay at a Westin again based on this experience.
Thank you for a fantastic experience.
