Being from California, we are NOT use to the "smoke" permitted in hotels. Although we got a NON-SMOKING room, and the NON-SMOKING floor (3rd) we could still smell the smoke from the 4th floor rooms (per a conversation with Housekeeping). They "sprayed" our room ... and it was fine for the rest of our stay. Lovely room, great view of...

Attended the Desert Fall Classic baseball tourney. At first I was frustrated because my headboard had dust, the nightstand lamp shade was cracked, one of the beds were sunken into, overall cleanliness issues. What I did admire was their ability to quickly resolve the issues. I was moved to a new room and they deep cleaned the room again and...

Besides the old steam train engine in the lobby there really isn't much to attract me to this hotel. The pool (in October) was cold (not heated) and only open 4 hours a day. There is a casino and bowling alley, but those aren't really my thing. The best part was that the parking was convenient. Good for a business...

I stayed there as part of a business group that had meetings at the hotel. When I first checked in they didn't show that I had a reservation. Once they were able to confirm it (which I had to prove with a confirmation email) I was given nice clean room. The company that sponsored my trip extended my stay an...

I travel home (Las Vegas) every three months and will only ever stay at Sunset Station. The employees are nice, the rooms are clean, the food is great at the cafe (try the prime rib, exellent!). Just a great place to stay. The only downer is that the pool closes way too early!

If you love breathing cigarette smoke through your room vents night and day and paying a resort fee for substandard accommodations and services, this is the place for you. I am still wondering what that resort fee is for??? The invisible coffee pot in the room? The foul air that gives you an instant headache? The worn carpeting? The very...

The seem like they actually like their jobs :-) I've stayed there three times now. I've been there for supercross finals, close to SAM Boyd stadium, in-n-out nearby, fatburger in the casino, subway, etc. Cool bars, plenty of good food options. Rooms are a little old school Vegas, always had nice views of the mountains or of the strip usually both. The casino...

WARNING: the hotel forces you to pay a "resort fee" / "amenities fee" every day. I stayed at the Sunset Station in October, 2014 ... Overall, average.
