Beattty and the Exchange Club Motel is about 45 minutes from the interesting parts of Death Valley. The rooms are large and have a refrigerator but no microwave. We could use the microwave in the office so this was no problem. People at the desk are very nice and answer whatever question you have. There isn't much to do in...

(3.5 is a more appropriate rating.) When you go to Death Valley National Park, you have several choices for accommodations: camp in the park, rent very expensive ($200 - $300/night if available) rooms in the park, or stay at much less expensive motels outside the park. Beatty, Nevada markets itself as the Gateway to Death Valley. The entry to the...

I would stay here again, if I couldn't find something better. It was clean, so it had that going for it, but was really showing its age. Close to Death Valley and watch out for the herds of burros just outside of town, they're so fun to see and wander the road, so be on alert!

Check in was fast since there are very few people around. The room was clean. The entire motel is warn, but not too bad. The price was acceptable for the facility. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, this would be my choice.

We stayed here three nights while we explored around Beatty. More than adequate. A little worn but clean with very helpful staff. Arco next door made getting coffee and supplies in the morning very convenient. We would stay here again.

Room large, has microwave and refrigerator. Cleanliness inadequate (found a dirty sock on the floor from another guest). Toilet water kept running all the time and so did the one next door (could hear it through the thin walls). Air conditioning unit was very noisy. Located at a busy intersection near a 24 hours gas station. could hear large trucks...

Friendly reception, clean and comfortable room and decent night's sleep. Hardly anywhere to stay or eat in this small town but there is a petrol station and shop next door with decent coffee. Ate at Denny's to avoid any tummy issues. The road from this town to Death Valley was cool for seeing coyotes.

There are hardly any places to stay in the area so this was a great find, as another reviewer already said. Clean, very simple, and mostly comfortable. Definitely dated but so is the whole area. Friendly and helpful staff.

Basic older motel. I was put in room 206, whose only window opened onto a dark hallway. The main room was in good shape, but the bathroom needed work. Heating/cooling was provided by a wall-mounted unit that generated lots of noise but was otherwise mostly useless. Used the bedding from the extra bed to keep warm at night. There are...
