Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great girls on check-in. Ever so friendly and helpful. Park looks tired and run down. For the price(which was very high) you couldn't use own washing machine in van. No big deal though as complete new laundry with new machines were great. Works going on in park so should be lovely when finished. Well done to new owners. We got the most magnificent pizza from the Italian restaurant on-site. The best ever. The biggest downfall was the street and rail noise. We were on a drive-thru site that was on the road side. The trains kept going all night. We bought some ear plugs after night 1. I think with all the works being done at present we should have been offered a reduced rate. But it is what it is and good luck to the new managers.

Day 3 - Well the traffic and train noise are back, its Monday! It started out a lazy day where we decided to read the caravan rules. It states under "Use and Operation of Facilities" that we are responsible for gardening on the site WHAT? Yep BYO wheelbarrow and gardening gloves because you are responsible for branches and leaves on the red dirt soil and make sure you keep the site clean and tidy. And, by the way, there are no pets allowed - well thats what the sign says but I can see 4 dogs in close proximity! Add to that my cold shower today AGAIN - ran the hot water for so long but could not get it warmer than cold! If you are going to shower do it first thing in the morning or at night as hot water does not apply during the day. This park is not very safe for us, as there are no lights on the roads to the amenities block some 2 streets away; thats where the bins are too but only 1 recycle bin is provided and it is always filled first. Add to that the toilet lacking paper, no amenity supplied sanitiser and the traffic and train noise and I don't think its the best park to stay at. I am not a happy camper especially now Tourist Info advise the port tours are cancelled for they think 6 weeks! Now what are we going to do for the next 4 nights?

Stayed 3 nights. Power to van tripped 2 during the stay. Both time whilst we were out sights seeing. Contacted office got power back on. Temporary fix

Second arvo. No hot water in showers. Spoke to reception. Told it happens.

Never been to a caravan park where you are responsible to remove any leaves or branches from your site before you leave.

Streets very tight to back a long caravan into site.

A lot of building work being undertaken. All seem to be dongers for workers.

I was charged $160.00 twice for 1 night stay in a single person donga. When I discovered this on my bank transactions, I saw the lady in the front office to inform her of the double charge. She looked through her system and agreed that they took an extra payment and got me to write down my bank details to refund the overcharge. Two and a half weeks later, the double payment hasn't been refunded. Tried to go on to their web site to get an email address, web site appears to have been taken down. Tried to ring but phone isn't connecting. So I have paid $320.00 for a crappy single person donga. Could have got a nice room in town for less than that, even in Port Hedland.

Being two couples with one car we booked two deluxe queen rooms for one night. Even if we arrived a little before the time of the declared availability of the rooms, the staff made us check-in and assigned us the rooms. They gave us a password for the wifi, unfortunately in the evening, when we used it we discovered that a password allows the connection of 2 devices only. In the morning they justified themselves by saying that they had not considered that we occupied two rooms and therefore we were entitled to 2 passwords. Each room has parking for one car right next to it. The rooms were regular even if in one of the two the bathroom mirror was absent. Back after dinner we slept well without any particular noise even though we were close to the main road. Normal accommodation at a reasonable price for this area.

We booked a cabin that was relatively expensive (which seems to be normal for Port Hedland because of the mines). It was a dark, dingy thing with a tiny kitchenette and even smaller bathroom. Bedding was clean, but the experience on a rocky area without any decoration was a very sad one. It's widely used by workers, so expect car engines to start roaring at 5 am and no interaction with neighbours (they either work, eat, or sleep). The campsite might be another story, but don't book a cabin, if you don't need to! Staff is friendly

Absolutely the worst park we've ever stayed at. $60 / night and all we got was red dirt everywhere, everything was filthy. Tired amenities, broken locks on toilet doors, Use of your own caravan washing machine was even banned! Steer clear if possible. This one needs a really wide berth.

containers populated by miners from BHP and Rio Tinto whose evening activity is to destroy themselves with alcohol and cigarettes, screaming all night without allowing them to sleep. Smelly niches with a good bathroom. It is not possible to cook. The wifi? non-existent, while here in Italy we provide it to asylum seekers, here they make you pay for it

The rooms are small but ok. The single donga is tiny and over priced at $320 a week. But it’s port Hedland and everything’s expensive
The walls are thin so you’ll hear your neighbors talking on the phone
Air on is great and the location isn’t too bad.
I don’t mind it but yeah, overpriced

Van park is work in progress in many areas. Sites size are limited so with a large van and awning does not leave a lot of room to park larger vehicle. Fortunately all sites were not occupied which allowed us to park nearby. We found the ablution blocks to be regularly cleaned but very run down. The men's showers panels are very water damaged and distorted. Water pressure is low and it can take a long time for hot water to come through. These is a sign to say that hot water is being repaired but the sign is rather old. If you like trains there are tracks about 500 metres away and yes the low frequency from the trains can be heard every hour of so.
