Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a cabin that was relatively expensive (which seems to be normal for Port Hedland because of the mines). It was a dark, dingy thing with a tiny kitchenette and even smaller bathroom. Bedding was clean, but the experience on a rocky area without any decoration was a very sad one. It's widely used by workers, so expect car engines to start roaring at 5 am and no interaction with neighbours (they either work, eat, or sleep). The campsite might be another story, but don't book a cabin, if you don't need to! Staff is friendly

We booked here for one night to catch up with a friend staying here.Reception was good although we had to provide ID which was a first in our travels. We were sent to the area where the transient travellers go close to the ablution area.Wasnt taken with the place from dot one but the pool area looked nice and a very green lawn in among a very barren scape.Toilets were old and showers could do with an update but there was hot water. At 2,30am in the morning I heard a noise outside our open window and looked out to see someone going through our car fridge which was just left outside(stupid us).I quickly yelled at his and he took off but then I didnt sleep the rest of the night waiting for him to return. He probably wasnt interested in diet coke and light beer which was all that was in there.I feel we could have been warned of the possibility of opportunists as we had in so many dodgy areas that we stayed(and then had no issues).Constant noise of trucks and cars right outside the park because its a roundabout .We moved the next night to another Port Hedland caravan park and it was so superior in every way.I would NOT stay here again even if it was free.Rather pay to stay at the other caravan parks in town,Bad experience

Caravan Park is very run down, rubbish bins overflowing, showers and toilets dirty. Very noisy, with people seem to come ond and go all night. Calling out and being disruptive. Nothing was done by the management. After a long sleepless night, I was looking forward to having a swim in the pool. But was locked and no-one there to open it. Time was well after 7 am. Very disappointed, after spending 50 dollar for the night.

Room Tip: Stay at golf club instead, only 20 dollar. It was much quieter.

Absolutely the worst park we've ever stayed at. $60 / night and all we got was red dirt everywhere, everything was filthy. Tired amenities, broken locks on toilet doors, Use of your own caravan washing machine was even banned! Steer clear if possible. This one needs a really wide berth.

The worst place we've ever stayed at. I have no idea why they call themselves a tourist park. We had booked a "chalet" and ended up in one of the donnas that are obviously used for workers. It was dark, dingy, dirty (stained) and totally unacceptable. Admittedly the caravan park woth chalets, section looked a lot nicer, but we werent put there. Then to top it all off, we had to pay to use the barbecue. Not pleasant at all. Never again.

Originally after reading many reviews, I was hesitant to stay here. And though we were only pulling in for one night, I was pleasantly surprised! We had a drive through site which was spacious. Totally red dirt but nice shady trees. Ablutions were clean and large, but could really do with an upgrade as they appear very old and tired. Pool area was lovely but water was rather cold. Our site was front row against the main road. Traffic noise did not stop all night, but was not an issue, was a good nights sleep. Only negative for us was the price. One night for 2A3C was $90. So though a rather decent place to stay, certainly was not worth the price tag.

Campervan site was fine although quite noisy from road traffic, staff in office very good. However - there was no hot water for showers in ladies, there was NO kitchen, no restaurant open and the BBQ was coin operated!!!!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend staying here til place is upgraded.

Van park is work in progress in many areas. Sites size are limited so with a large van and awning does not leave a lot of room to park larger vehicle. Fortunately all sites were not occupied which allowed us to park nearby. We found the ablution blocks to be regularly cleaned but very run down. The men's showers panels are very water damaged and distorted. Water pressure is low and it can take a long time for hot water to come through. These is a sign to say that hot water is being repaired but the sign is rather old. If you like trains there are tracks about 500 metres away and yes the low frequency from the trains can be heard every hour of so.
