We absolutely loved The Gander Inn,Dave and Trish are awesome! Very quiet and peaceful. Came in from Denver to spend the weekend at Lake McConaughy, it was nice coming back to a CLEAN COZY ROOM after a long hot day in the sun on the beach!! On a scale from 1-10 I'd give the Gander a 10!!! Pet friendly and...

We are sensitive to noise, so even though it was just the two of us, we rented the cottage, just in case. I doubt there is a need for that, as this whole place is very nice and quiet. Our host was caring and attentive and directed us to a fantastic museum in town for which we will be forever...

Dave is a great guy. Good food meets needs of hunters. Very clean rooms and hot showers has a great staff. Very accommodating to hunters very respectful if traveling with a dog. Staff will provide extra coffee each morning and breakfast will meet hunting schedule.

Nice, quiet bed and breakfast in a very sleepy town,. No grocery store and restaurants may or may not be open so be sure to eat before arriving. Hotel does NOT have frig or micro so be prepared for that as well. I stayed in the motel section. The room was average. But the breakfast was above normal thus the...

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent stay with us. We apologize for your difficulty with the TV in your room and the lack of written operating instructions. We had another guest bring this to our attention and we will ensure that instructions will be in each room in the future. Thank you for bringing that to...

This hidden bed and breakfast has a very interesting history. I stayed in the rooms that used to be a nursing home. The room was good size. I would have like the bed to be on a solid platform and a little higher. I never could figure out the TV. The bath was large and the water pressure was good....

Thank you so much for staying with us and your kind review. Also, thank you for bringing our attention to the lack of printed operating instructions for the TV. We're sorry you had difficulty and we will ensure instructions are available to future guests.

Dave was wonderful - treating us like guests of his family when we checked in - even lending us high powered binoculars for our stay in Lewellen. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Dave was also able to give us directions to everything we wanted to get to. He provided a fabulous breakfast buffet as well. Loved it!

I've stayed at the Gander four times during the annual crane migration and plan to return. It is a delightfully quirky place in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Dave is a wonderful cook and can provide for whatever tastes, dietary restrictions, or scheduling needs you present to him. He's had fresh-baked muffins, coffee, juice, and cereal ready for my friends and...

A group of us who traveled to see the crane migration in Nebraska stayed one night at the Gander Inn. The rooms were very clean. My room had a microwave and refrigerator. The host was helpful and friendly - and a great cook. We paid the extra $8/person for a hot home-cooked breakfast, and it was spectacular. The food was...

I was not expecting much from my stay in Lewellen, NE, having stayed at some pretty basic motels in rural areas in my time. So imagine my excitement when I made it to the Gander Inn and found a clean and comfortable place with great amenities. We were there for a hunting trip - as were many of the other...

I stumbled upon the Gander Inn on TripAdvisor. I was looking for hotels in Scottsbluff, Chadron or Fort Rob but everything was full due to Sturgis and county fairs. Being on our motorcycle, we should have known. Fortunately, our oversight worked to our advantage. The Gander Inn may be the cutest place we've ever stayed! The only thing available was...
