We had a few incredible days at the Mango farm fishing and relaxing. Ayla was an incredible host, she spoilt us and made us feel so welcome. The food she prepared was amazing, she was so generous. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Having read some of the reviews I can not believe what some whinge about, like the one who says dearer than the Hilton or some place in Darwin.
Get out and travel and you will find all at the Mango Farm is tops try your luck up to the Gulf or go into the Simpson Desert and many other outback towns and places and then you will see that the Mango Farm at Daly River is great, clean and does have grass and gardens, the pool is not Olympic size but it is clean and great.
The hosts are very helpful and polite at all .
Don't whinge go, and try your hand at running or owning a tourist resort.

I stayed here with colleagues while on a business trip to a station south of the Daly River. There aren't many other options, and the primary customers are fishermen coming down to catch barramundi on the Daly River. We arrived late, just as the restaurant was closing, but the proprietors stayed open for us and provided a very good dinner with some very cold beers.

The cabins were rustic but clean with comfortable beds and basic self-catering facilities. The central shower/toilet building was similarly clean, spacious and reliable. But best of all was the attitude and service of the family that owns Mango Farm; they were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to be sure we were fed and comfortable. They also got up early so we could have coffee and sandwiches for our drive back to Darwin.

Seriously, it cost us more per night to stay in a cabin at Mango Farm than in a room in the Darwin Hilton. This was a cabin that did not have an en suite or a towel supplied. We paid $200 per night for a couple and if that was not enough there was a $6 charge to use our credit card. I know that Daly River is perceived to be remote, but the reality is that it is 222km from Darwin.

So what was in our cabin? There were two single beds and one double, a table & four chairs, a mini fridge, a microwave, a sink with cold water, a toaster, a jug, an outdoor barbecue and basic crockery & cutlery.

Look further on TripAdvisor and you will see that I enjoyed staying here in a powered site last year. It is still a lovely place but is now run by the son and daughter-in-law of the owner. The bar and bistro was not open on the two nights that we stayed.

I expect that there was some reason why the power went on and off at breakfast time both days. We were less sanguine about not being able to have a decent shower. The water pressure was so poor that the water mostly trickled down the wall and I was cupping my hands to splash water to get the soap off. That was my soap of course, because if you were not providing towels, you would hardly supply soap. I have to say that I was disappointed

Time to think seriously about your guest's experience folks. Mango Farm is too special a place to allow to slip away.

I attended the Mango Farm after hearing about it from a friend. I stayed for 2 night during the last long weekend just past. This place is a glorious place in that it is totally wild, the river is running, the pool was cool and beautiful and the accommodation albeit a little tired was superb. I was able to see families arrive with their campers and their cars full of kids. The kids were running around the place playing footy, chasings and going fishing with their dads and others. It reminded me very much of my childhood holidays. If you are looking for 5 star luxury then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a beautiful, safe and fish filled adventure with the family or your fishing mates then this is for you. The relatively new owners Shane and Margaret are just a delight and are going through the throes of renovating the place. It can only get better from here. A totally enjoyable and relaxing couple of days. I will be back but next time it will be for a week.

My husband and I stayed at the Daly River mango farm in the van area last week for 3 nights. It was the name that attracted me. And I'm so glad. It is a truely beautiful area and we were greeted by Lee most charmingly. Our site was perfect... so much space and green lawns all around. Even a swimming pool. And dog friendly. Facilities spotless too. One morning the owner brought us over muffins that she had just baked. We really relaxed here and stayed longer than planned. The local aboriginal art gallery is very worth a good look.. we reckon it is the most attractive art we have seen after the papunula tula art in Alice Springs

This is a wonderful place to stay for a nice relaxing break. The sites are great, lots of green grass, facilities and very clean and well kept and the staff are amazing! Thank you Lee for looking after us - while this is not our first visit and certainly not our last we are always surprised by how great it all looks each time with subtle changes making it better and better. Of course the fishing would be great but it was not that sort of visit for us this time, we were happy to follow the beautiful shade, read and chat. Thank you Mango Farm, see you again soon!

Even though I have a bad back I was able to sleep and go fishing on a boat. This says to me that the comfort of the Mango Farm at the Daly River is by far exemplary. It was great to enjoy the pristine pool on my return from fishing. Thank you to Margi and her fantastic welcome and going out of her way to make us feel extra special. The only place to stay when in the NT.

We just came back from the Mango Farm at the Daly River and it was superb.

We had a couple of lovely shady powered spots with a decent campfire in front.

The toilets were spotless and the grounds are well maintained.

The young fellah even caught his first barra.

Would go back or rather, will be going back! Only a couple of hours plus from Darwin.

Get yourself down there folks.

What a great little getaway on a working mango farm! We stayed for 2 nights in the family cabin. Room had A/C, BBQ outside, small fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster - great for self catering. Dining table and chairs in the room, beds were very generous and comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a family friendly getaway.

Inviting pool and awesome communal kitchen for those camping. Laundry facilities available and ablution block very clean, tidy and roomy. Access to the river and pontoon to tie the boat up to was perfect.

Amazed at how the place has recovered since the flood at Christmas and very little evidence of the significant damage the park would have received. Beautiful shaded area ideal for kids to ride bikes and play. Thank you to our hosts Margie, Shane and Leigh.
