Originally went to visit the Silo Art and popped in to see if we could get some lunch. The Proprietor ("Chef") and Jess were really helpful and chatty and made us feel very welcome. The pub is very rustic and has some great memorabilia. Feed was great. (we had the beef schnitzel & Fish & Chips) Make sure you take an appetite as the portions are very generous. They also have a caravan park & cabins (which we ill stay at next trip). Recommend ABSOLUTELY.

Thank you Chef for attracting the best locals and guests to be in the bar when we swung through…amazing people are attracted to this pub! The drinks are excellent, the ‘special’ port blends are smooth, the steaks and shanks are outstanding but the company and service is what will make us return. Quirky rooms with shared bathrooms, wandering through stone corridors well over a century old - rustic, authentic Australian outback charm. I even got used to the giant motorbike beside me in the bar! Great fun!

Great little quirky pub. We did have to look twice to make sure it was open but once inside we were welcomed in and ended up having a few drinks with Chef the publican. We ended up staying for a great pub dinner there and camped out the back that night. Check out the silo art across the road. If you can’t find the elephant go have a beer with Chef - I’m pretty sure he knows where it is.

When in the Clare valley a visit to the Farrell Flat pub & silo art is a must do experience. The silo art is amazing as is the pub. Chef made us a coffee & his mud cake is delicious. The inside of the pub is a credit to many hours of renovations & attention to detail with many interesting & quirky things to see. Can stay at back of pub in a van for free if eat at the pub too. Well worth the short drive out from Clare.

Please everyone, support our country towns, come and park your van in the backyard, wander in for a ginormous meal, and swill it down with a bottle of Farrell Flat red..you only have to walk 10 steps home. Chef and Cheryl will look after you. I am a single female traveler and I felt doubly safe and secure in my van out the back. Check out my pics 👌🙏❤️🍷

After reading previous reviews my husband and I decided to stop in at Farrell Flat to see the place for ourselves, as we are likely to be working in the area during the upcoming harvest. We parked our caravan across the road where there is ample room to do so and checked out the Silo Art. I believe Chef the publican was actually the catalyst for having this artwork done so I think the statement from a previous reviewer was not entirely accurate. A bit of disheartenment due to a lack of support from travellers is possibly why an off the cuff remark about having it painted over might be the reason. You are welcome to park out the back of the pub. It costs nothing but a meal and a beer. What more could you ask for. Yes there is donation camping nearby but there is only toilets and a dump point. Why would you not support a local country pub while you are there. Go on, give the place a go. I bet if you go in with a friendly attitude and open mind, and not expect something for nothing, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Great place to stop during our visit of the Clare Valley area. Stayed out the back in our van, met a few other travellers, had pre dinner drinks in the garden with them and then dinner inside. Enjoyed our steak, snitzel and chips then played some free pool. Managed to find the hidden elephant on the silo art!

The beer is cold, the food is outstanding, Chef is a great cook. If you like eccentric and rustic accommodation, book a room for the night and support the rural hospitality industry. Great stop on the Silo Art trail.

Well a lovely visit to Farrell Flat today. Beautiful weather and great to check out what's around.. Stopped into the pub for a drink before heading off. Glad we did. Met Cheryl and Chef and the dogs..what a beautiful Little pub.! Full of history and stories ...oh and the publican Chef has his Harley in the front bar!!..just one of the fantastic quirks of a beautiful country town. Stayed for a few drinks and chatted away learning about the history of the town. It was so refreshing to be welcomed to their part of the world. We are going to be residents there soon and they have definately got some local regulars coming their way. Can't comment on food as we did not eat but from what I have heard it is a good hearty feed from a good hearted pub...cheers👍👍 👍👍

Early in March, 2021 we travelled with friends from Clare to Farrell Flat to see the new silo painting. We parked outside the pub where there was plenty of room. As the four of us were getting out of the care a voice came through the screen door demanding that we not park there. The male voice then said it was because it disturbed him in the kitchen. We said nothing but with our hesitation the voice then called us a "bunch of c...s" and threatened to slash our tyres. We then moved the car, finished viewing the silo and continued our trip. Other locals we spoke to had heard of similar behaviour. We did not go into the pub!!!
