Pacific Palms Caravan Park is a traditional family caravan park located on the mid north coast of new south wales, 150kms north of Newcastle and 20kms south of Forster. The park nestles in a bushland setting adjacent to Elizabeth Beach, one of the east coasts most popular ocean beaches and quite close to Shelly Beach where clothing is optional. The park sits amidst three coastal lakes and three national parks where you will find quite large stands of the native cabbage palms from which the area gets its name. The area offers all surfing and water activities of which fishing is quite a popular one. Bushwalking and birdwatching are also popular activities of the area. Accommodation is available in modern en-suite cabins at quite competitive rates or in standard cabins for the budget conscious.

Stayed 2 nights with family and friends. Great value, ultra cabin was modern, clean and comfortable. Very comfy bed. Very noisy neighbours on our first night, very peaceful the next. Beautiful beach over road and would stay again

We only stayed for one nightin an Ultra cabin, and it had its good and bad points. It's winter and its raining the puny heater took 3 hours to heat one room. The bathroom is like a tiny freezer. As previously mentioned, nowhere to put any luggage. The tv is that high and being a LCD you have to look straight and level at it or it gets that black screen effect, so to watch it you have to stand up. The stove only had one element that worked and the grill took 10 minutes to heat up. Rooms were clean, bed very comfortable and altogether I might stay again. The staff were as uninterested on check in and out as any I've ever met, usually you get some questions about where you're from and what you are doing in town for business, but nope nothing here, not a thing. Even asking about food available after 7pm got nothing but a dazed look.

I was worried after I read the reviews of this place. I booked an Ultra Cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was simple but had everything you need. We had a queen bed which was comfortable, enough drawers and space to hang clothing. No where to put suitcases etc. It rained the whole weekend we were there, so appreciated the verandah even though it was too wet to sit.The location was an easy walk to the beach.
I can appreciate that others could find the Manager to be rude, he does come across as abrupt but I had no problem. His wife is lovely, maybe she should handle the public. I can't make comment about the state of the park or the lack of toilets but honestly the cabins are well maintained.
It's a lovely area and there are many places to stay but for the price I wouldn't hesitate in coming back here.

We LOVE the palms and have stayed here before on a site in our caravan but this time of there weren’t any van spots so we booked a cabin for a week with the family. The position could not be better with the beach across the road and lots of lovely trees throwing shade across the park.
The problem seems to be the owners who seem very tired of being here or “over it” which is reflected in the care taken for the little things that make a park comfortable and enjoyable.
Everything in the van seems to have been done on the cheap, we were in a newer cabin but the decor looks like it came straight out of the 90s.
The curtains look like they have come from an op shop, the chairs those old steel and plastic padded ones popular in waiting rooms of the 80’s (don’t kick your toe on them unless you want a tetanus shot as they are all rusted) and the four shades of cream on the walls and floor just made you feel sad.
The only lounge in the 6 berth cabin is a tiny 2 seater and the kitchen is so woefully stocked with essentials it is almost impossible to cook. There was not 6 sets of cutlery, the only cooks knife was painfully cheap and blunt, nothing to store food in, nothing to put a cheese plate on, the stove took an hour to boil water and barely any kitchen utensils.
There are communal bbqs but nothing to clean up after yourself with and disgustingly for a caravan park and the amount of bottles and cans consumed, no recycling option on site.
Probably the worst for us was the bed which after the second night we dubbed “the door” because it was about as big and comfortable as a door for the two of us to sleep on. Rock hard and only a double size, when the nights were hot it was impossible to sleep on as you are all but on top of each other and there is no fan in the bedrooms to cool you or AIR CONDITIONING at all in the cabin.
We travel a fair bit with our kids and almost always stay in caravan parks either in cabins or in our van on a site and this park just feels like nobody cares about it which is so sad when the bones are here for such an iconic place to stay with the infrastructure, location and position to one of the most beautiful beaches in Oz.
Normally I wouldn’t post such a scathing review of a place, I feel it is much better to talk to someone and pass on suggestions and save public places like this for complimenting business but the impression I got from the owners of the park is that they are quite arrogant and wouldn’t listen anyway so I thought this might get more of their attention because it is such a waste of a beautiful spot.

We stayed here a couple of nights over Christmas and it was the biggest mistake of our trip. The cabin was very minimal at best, it was tiny, poky, barely equipped for any cooking with any utensils etc. The most you could do was make a cup of tea. Worst of all, the cabin reeked of mildew! It was obvious that the cabin is built on rotted, old wood that has deteriorated over time, so the smell of mildew permeated the entire cabin, and all the plates and cups! Had to wash the cup out to make a tea, or the glass to have some water, or the plate to eat anything. They all stunk.
At night, sleeping in such a damp, mouldy room was a horrible experience and we couldn’t wait to leave. The owners are so unenthusiastic and look like they hate their job. These old, mouldy cabins need to be demolished as they are unliveable.
We also found out the park does NOT recycle. Probably to save costs. Imagine the waste. There is a lot of cost-cutting evident at the park, and it seems it is being run into the ground.
There is a lot to like about Elizabeth Beach, and Blueys, but do yourself a favour, just don’t stay here.

We stayed 2 nights over the Australia Day weekend and disappointed doesn’t begin to describe our stay. We travelled with 2 adults and 2 children. The cabin was good size and close walk to beach but that’s where the positives end. The stove top in the kitchen was dirty, there were splatter marks on top cupboards from previous visits, mould growing on fridge cord (3 of us are asthmatics), moist crockery and cutlery which had to be washed again before use, even the toaster had not been cleaned in a long time with damp sponge and scourer left for us to use and the kitchen was very minimally equipped. There was wet marks on mirror in bathroom and shower screen looked terrible not to mention the glow in the dark bangles left on the back of the bathroom door from previous visitors. There was dust, cobwebs, and handprints throughout the cabin. The cabin had one ceiling fan in main living area and only one pedestal fan provided for 2 bedrooms. I’ve stayed in cabins before and this is the most disappointing. The info pack left in cabin was useless and the photocopied map was unreadable and the manager didn’t seem to care and I had to contact her to get refund she agreed to when we brought these issues to her attention throughout the stay. I would’ve rather spent my last 2 days in Port Macquaire than wasted money on this cabin, safe to say we won’t be back!!

Thanks Sophia and Team for a great experience at Pacific Palms Caravan Park. Loved the quiet, shady space, just across from the beach. The friendly Water Dragon that visited the cabin verandah added perfectly to the bush feel, as did the goanna that ambled past. Was very appreciative of the extra service we received when we needed it. We'll be back.

Confronted by a male rude, arrogant and complete misogynist of a man who apparently was meant to be the owner. Incredibly disgusting amenities - doors and bathrooms in general were beyond unhygienic.
Absolute disgrace.

Extremely friendly owners. We had some serious problems with our van and they helped us a lot. Beautiful area, surrounded by palmtrees and close to a very beautiful beach. Clean facilities, showers with warm water. Would 100% recommend

Ill start with the location is nice not to far from foster but far enough away from the city itself!

The negatives we stayed in a ensuited cabin and had no linen like we were told we would for the main bedroom! What was a nice cheap weekend getaway turned into us having to drive into foster to buy blankets, pillows and towels!

We were here for a 40th birthday and were told to be in out cabins by 12am and after that time we r not to socialise after then (not even in the cabin of a friend) we had to be back in our own by 12am then we were told by one of the girls that work here (DID I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR) <- thats going to keep people coming back!

Bottom line is i will not be back!

Hi. None of the cabins we have stayed in there have aircon units. They did all have fans fans and oil heaters. As it is quite a shaded area and coastal I'm not sure that they are needed
