Just had a wonderful weeks vacation with friends. Accomodations were average to nice. We didn't want for anything. The condo was stocked with everything imaginable! From the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms...playstations, tv's, movies, books, etc., it was all available. The fireplace was great! I think all of the units have spiral stair cases both up to the lofts and down...

Thank you Texastravelnuts for the review and for staying with us. This rental was through RCI and we are working with RCI to update their description and provide some better pictures of the entry to the unit you stayed in. We do have about two dozen units in our village of 124 condos that have long stairways to the units....

We stayed in 110 Wolf Creek (6 adults). The place was perfect 2 bedrooms downstairs. and a loft up. Very clean and kitchen stocked well w/pans,dishes,coffee maker etc. cable tv,wifi and local phone. Was great relaxing on the deck overlooking the cedar forest or hanging out in the outdoor jacuzzi after a fun filled day in the area. This was one of the cleaner and up to date condos I have stayed in over the years. I did not like the spiral stairs. If you have elderly or small children you may want to consider that. Our couches were worn on seating area. My only real complaint. The t.v was mounted to high.. you spend alot of time...

We stayed here for a week while visiting Glacier National Park. The village is located on Big Mountain in Whitefish. It is about a 30 minute drive to the park. We had everything we could have wanted for the week. Our unit was #35 in the Sawtooth building. The bedroom is in the loft in this unit and the bathroom...

Our stay was perfect in Whitefish, thanks to the pristine setting of Ptarmigan Village overlooking Whitefish Lake. 30 mins from Glacier National Park and nestled in the trees on Whitefish Mountain, this place was the perfect setting for a family/friends getaway. The place was clean, stocked with everything needed to cook, and had comfy, cozy furnishings and a great movie...

We came to Bear Creek #118 as a timeshare through RCI. There are many fine points about this resort but the lack of information about there being a spiral staircase down to the 2 bedrooms and bathroom blew my mind. I had seen in the RCI photos that there was a spiral staircase to the sleeping loft, but since we...

Feb 2016 During our stay we had noticed a substantial amount of dead and alive bugs and spiders in very NOTICEABLE places. We had found a large amount in the loft; there was a whole bunch of spiders and bugs alongside the dresser and baseboard, as well as behind the dresser. Also we had a few dead bugs on the...

We are very sorry to hear of your less than ideal experience at Ptarmigan Village. We have tried to address a number of your concerns in recent months. Unfortunately your unit had been empty for some time and through an oversight on our part a pre-arrival inspection was not conducted. This has been remedied for future guest and we try...

My family and I stayed at the Ptarmigan Village last summer. Our cabin slept 6 comfortably. Woodsy appearance with all the modern conveniences, even WIFI. We loved the energy this cabin offered. Very relaxing and peaceful retreat. This village is right down the road from Big Mountain ski resort. It's also just about 35 minutes west of the Glacier National...

We found a rental on Craig's List for 3 months in Whitefish at Ptarmigan village. We wanted a 2 bedroom with loft for visitors. For the price it was reasonable. You get what you pay for so this was not a modern condo. Dated decor and very busy. Space is small in the living area. Old mattresses and mishmash of...

59 Bitterroot is an end unit (i.e.,quiet) with a completely shaded deck with large propane grill; great for hot summer nights. Close to laundry and pool. Well equipped and maintained, not completely modernized but that is not a drawback. No wifi in this unit, use your cell data or go to laundry building for wifi. Basement bedrooms were nice and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ptarmigan Village is a quiet community, nestled in a cedar forest, on the SW slope of The Big Mountain. We are located only a few minutes from Whitefish Mountain Resort that has year round activities for skiers, boarders, bikers and hikers. Located only 35 miles from Glacier National Park, we are a great location for staging your NW Montana adventures. Our amenities include:a new pool building that includes an indoor salt water swimming pool, a large outdoor hot tub and a dry sauna. Next to the pool building is a playground for children. In summer, our outdoor pool is perfect for relaxing or you can take a drive down to our beach on Whitefish Lake where you can take a swim and revel in a gorgeous sunset. Hiking is right out your door with 52 acres to roam. We have two newly resurfaced tennis courts if you want to get in a game. Elmer's Pond is stocked with trout each spring for children to try their luck. We have a variety of one, two and three bedroom condominiums for rent and also offer RCI exchanges. We have a beautiful Alpine village setting and condos that were crafted in the 1970's and 1980's - most have been updated to provide wonderful accommodations. PLEASE NOTE: all condominiums have stairs or spiral staircases to the bedrooms and lofts (if equiped). Also note that during the winter you are advised to have all-wheel drive, we plow our roads daily, but you will encounter winter driving conditions this close to the ski slopes! A laundromat is situated in the center of the village and wifi is available there and at the indoor pool building. We hope to see you soon. ... more   less

“Try to find a unit that the deck doesn't overlook another unit for best view. I know units 107-115 for sure have private views”

“We liked the 2-bedroom for our family. However there are also cute loft units that I think would be great for couples. It is hilly there, so it would be a bonus to be close to the pools, however a good walk in the clean mountain air is also good!”

“Choose room close to either outdoor or indoor pool, depending on which one you like. They are really far apart from each other.”
