Flew in on Saturday afternoon, headed straight to Glacier National Park for lodging in the park. Heavy rains all day caused a mud & rock slide on "Going to the Sun" road, so we had to turn back west and find a place to stay. The young lady at the front desk was able to get us a two-story room,...

I was looking for a micro-vacation trip for my wife and me, and Glacier National Park is only 4.5 hours' driving time from our home. I tried to find a room for one Saturday night inside the park, on Oct. 1. As it happens, September 30 is "end of season" and all the services (including hotels) close. The Grouse Mountain...

Hi Ron W. Thank you for taking some time to leave a review of your stay at Grouse Mountain Lodge. We want to clarify our $79 rate with you. We are offering that rate as often as possible during our slower months of October and November. It it is certainly available throughout the mentioned months and we open it up...

We were on a last minute vacation to see Glacier National Park. We spent three nights at Grouse Mountain Lodge, based on the great reviews that we saw on Trip Advisor. Perhaps we have higher expectations - but our stay certainly was less than expected. The hotel had a special rate, stay three nights pay for two...believe us, not even...

Hello HalandBelinda, thank you for taking time to review your stay at Grouse. We are disappointed to hear you didn't have a better stay with us. We are sorry you didn't appreciate the authentic Montana taxidermy, we can assure you that there is not a baby bear on display, the bear you are referring to is a black bear, a...

We had a fantastic stay Grouse Mountain Lodge. They were doing a deal for $79 a night through the month of Sept. Really couldn't get any better value for the money we spent. The staff were so very friendly and always willing to help. We enjoyed a coffee every morning from the coffee bar. It wasn't complimentary but we put...

The real problem with visiting Glacier in October is the park begins shutting down its facilities within the park. There was no room at the inn, so to speak, so I found Grouse Mountain Lodge on Trip Advisor. It's close enough to Glacier even though it is in Whitefish. The lodge is somewhat out of town on highway 93 but...

Last minute trip, Grouse Mountain Lodge still had rooms - how lucky we were. Seemed like it was going to be a long way from Glacier, but the trip was quick on great roads. We probably wouldn't have gone to Whitefish otherwise but it was our favorite town on our trip. The hot tub was crucial after our 11 mile...

Nice lodge, good clean light-chlorine pool, good breakfast burrito. The lodge provided a nice, timely shuttle into town. There's a great hike/bike trailsystem nearby that takes you to town or out to Whitefish lake and beyond. I think my stay was a bit overpriced. The taxidermied animals were hard for me and I wish the hotel had bikes to ride....

The room was a step above the normal hotel room. The beds were comfortable with very nice sheets. The bathroom had a nice shower with a hand held sprayer. The entrance way was dimly lit. The dining was great one night (Trout and bison meatloaf. ) The next night we had the ribeye special that was anything but special. Actually...

This was the perfect place to wrap up a week of traveling, hiking and exploring Glacier and Waterton National Parks. The rustic, but luxurious feel of the place was just what our poor aching feet and backs needed! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and well appointed. There were great areas in which to hand wet...

The property certainly needed a good clean when we were there. The bedroom was OK, the restaurant was fine but the rest of the building loooked like it needed some serious and immediate tender loving care! The location is excellent for strolling into Whitefish - about 15 minute walk and, of course, there are two golf courses located on site,...
