Budget property. Pay a pet fee to walk dog across a busy street. BYO towels, shampoo, dryer. No local channels or news on TV. Lobby at Branding Iron filled with tour buses...second time there, and they cater to the tour bus. West Yellowstone is overpriced...drive a little farther for more affordable sleep. Very noisy.

The area is incredibly overpriced due to the proximity to Yellowstone...about 40 miles from Old Faithful, so this review is relative for the area. First, the positives. Lighting OK, good location, huge vanity, good bed, had a bathtub, quiet, and great decor with log cabin look. The negatives were parking for my room on the street, no shampoo, no breakfast,...

How in the Hell did this place every get a 3 1/2 Star rating! Carpets filth, shower head hits a 6' person in the chest, no lamps on desk, overall a dump. Built in the 1940-50's and it shows. Pay more and be comfortable in a clean room.

To be honest we were very skeptical what we may be getting into when the Yellowstone Park service booked us a room at the Pony Express Motel. Realizing very few rooms were available in West Yellowstone we opted to go ahead with our plans to visit the national park once again and stay at Pony Express. Our skepticism did not...

Seeking Yellowstone NP reservation 5 months in advance we found everything sold out with the Yellowstone NP agency. Only very expensive options were offered in West Yellowstone or Gardiner. Then the Yellowstone NP agency offered a one bed unit with bath in West Yellowstone on their website and stationery. The agency offered a commercial property through the park service. Okay....

This place is really tiny. It's kind of outdated, but we spent most of our time in Yellowstone, which you can actually see the border across the street from our room. They allowed us to have our pitbull with no questions asked. No breed or weight restrictions. This was a first. We spent $89.00 a night. This was very reasonable...

Stayed here for four nights whilst visiting Yellowstone Park. Price was significantly lower than for many other places in the town. We got a comfortable bed in a relatively small room that was a bit dated and very dark in the area between the main room and the bathroom. WiFi was pretty reliable. Everything was clean. Overall, good value for...

We made our reservations only a couple of weeks in advance for early June so some other motels were booked and others were quite a bit more costly. We thought the Pony Express was very adequate for our 3 night stay. It sits just across the street from the Yellowstone National Park boundary. It was furnished with log furniture and...

Pretty much what you would expect for a budget motel. It's an older establishment (and it shows), but is clean and served its purpose. Our room was a single bed and the room was rather small. Parking could be an issue as it is on the main street and is first come, first served. No WI-FI , breakfast, or coffee---but,...

Found a room available and grabbed it because there was nothing else available. Didn't like leaving my vehicle parked on the road out of sight but we had to. The room was tiny and was in great need of renovating. Paneled walls, little beds and no air conditioner made for an interesting stay. The room was clean and everything worked...
