The cabins are very clean and comfortable. Terry and Sally are awesome. We went in October and got about a foot and a half of snow while we were there. They checked on us and had us plowed out. The fireplace is really nice in...More
Now called the Cottages At East Glacier and meticulously cared for by onsite managers Sally and Terry, these have to be the best headquarters for hiking and seeing Many Glacier, Two Medicine and the Lake St Mary area. Each two bedroom freestanding cottage has complete...More

Hi and thanks for the great review. Our name has not changed, but thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope to see you again soon.
Also called The Cottages at Glacier, these cabins are located in the heart of little St Mary, on a hill. We stayed in Heaven's Peak, but you probably can't go wrong in picking a cottage. They all look similar and would have similar views. The...More
We only wish we had more time to stay at the Gunsight Cottage. Didn't get a chance to meet Sally, but Terry was a wealth of information (wish we could have picked their brain more - next time!) Also loved reading about the history of...More
We stayed in Cottage #5, but I'll bet all are equally nice. With a well-equipped kitchen, a fully-charged gas grill, and comfortable bedrooms, there wasn't a single hitch in our vacation. The cottage made a great base of operations for our hikes in Glacier National...More

Cabins are arranged in two rows of three, one set slightly up the hill from the other set. There is good distance between them so unless you have nice weather and loud neighbors partying on their deck, there is not much noise. Cabins have both names and numbers. Gunsight Cabin is closest to road up hill but there is little traffic. There is traffic on the higway below the complex but we were told the main noise issue comes from a beer hall down below on warm summer nights. We stayed in Kintla Cabin which I think has the nicest view and we had no noise issues. It is the middle Cabin on the lower level which has the added advantage of not having to overlook the roofs of the cabins below. Owner recommended Kintla and she was right!
