This place couldn't of been more perfect or serene for our honeymoon weekend getaway. The views of the mountains and the Bull River were breathtaking and peaceful. They had kayaks and canoes available for our use....although we didn't end up using them. The couple, Dave and Karen, who run the place are super sweet, went above and beyond and were very accommodating to our food intolerances and all our needs. My husband and I did the couple's retreat package and had one night with the candlelight, 4 course dinner. My husband has a few food intolerances, while I can't eat gluten. They were super accommodating and the food was Amazing!! We had filet mignon, and it was cooked perfectly, which, as I love medium rare, can be hard to always get. The breakfasts were homemade, flexible to our timing and the coffee was fresh and delish. We cannot speak highly enough of the lodging and even more the owners. We look to returning on a regular basis, to this hidden retreat gem.

I echo the comments made in the other reviews. This is a wonderful place that is well maintained and in a beautiful location. The owners offer you all the privacy you need, but treat you like family when needed. There is great fly fishing to be had on the Bull river in front of the lodge and other rivers in the area.

We stayed here for two nights in late April/early May. The setting is spectacular and the facilities are generously proportioned, immaculately maintained, and very comfortable. It might be out of your way, but if you are in NW Montana, consider staying here. Great value for the price. Breakfasts are hearty and very yummy. We arranged in advance for the owners to prepare dinner for five of us. We had a delicious meal, well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Dave suggested three different hikes for us and also lent bear spray for us to carry on the hike. We will certainly return if we are in the area again. There is a lot to do here if you love the outdoors--fishing, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding (and skiing in the winter).

One night only and we had perfect weather. The location is killer -- just a gorgeous Montana valley. The Lodge is cozy, beautiful, and super well-maintained. Plenty of nicely stuffed critters on the wall -- it's Montana. The steak dinner was over the top and would have cost more than the lodging bill in any major US City. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This lodge is a real gem in the rough, with only 6 large bedrooms/ suite, with private bath. There is a hot tub. The lodge itself is secluded with abundant wildlife, great for snowshoeing , x-country skiing or hiking. It is a real get-away from resorts and hyper events. I believe it was a hunting lodge originally with animal mounts on the walls. Breakfast was fantastic and abundant, with owners, Dave and Karen, plying us with extra huckleberry pancakes and grande mariner syrup. What a treat. We were 6 couples, who occupied the entire lodge to play bridge and enjoy gourmet meals that we prepared for ourselves. There is a Grand piano, so one of our group played, and others sang. Great place for weddings, family events, or just friends wishing to get away for a couple of days. Free Wi-Fi, but no cell service. The lodge has a phone.
