Love this historic hotel, love riding the historic elevator and while the rooms are also historically themed, (a little Victorian), they are comfortable and very pleasant. Staff are helpful and resourceful essential in making for a comfortable stay. With the amazing restaurant right next door-Livingston makes perfect sense for our travel stop.

A beautiful historic hotel with a great location. I really enjoyed seeing all of the antiques and memorabilia. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was beautifully decorated and large with a small living room.

i visited Livingston a few years ago and stayed at the Murray. This time we got a room that was refurbished and it was great. We still had the sense of staying in a historic hotel but also had a nicely done suite with a sitting area with its own tv. All in all more pleasant than two years ago...

My partner and I were totally happy with our recent stay at this special hotel. One senses its history immediately and it's a property that defines Montana! The personnel were most gracious and helpful in making recommendations. Our suite was wonderful...comfortable and beautifully decorated with period pieces. The only negative is that one hears train passings during the night; however...

Lovely 'historic' (by American standards!) hotel. Beautifully maintained in the old style. There is noise from the trains and people coming and going, but no more than expected when the location is in town. We had a small suite so it wasn't cheap and cheerful and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly....

Super friendly staff. Lovely room. Do yourself a favor and splurge on dinner next door. Lobby is a mini museum. Lots of trains go by across the street! Super clean & tastefully decorated. Earplugs are provided so no complaining!

Old interesting hotel with some period fixtures and fittings. An ancient lift serves the upper floors but is staff controlled which means find an operator. Being on the 4th floor the novelty rapidly wore off! I had a very comfortable room but be aware the hotel is on a busy road and near to a rail line therefore constant noise...

The staff was incredible!!! Perfect location in town for walking around and exploring. The lobby of the hotel was charming and inviting. The added amenities that the staff leave in the room were a nice touch. Just being in a historic hotel in such a historic town was worth the drive from CA to MT.

Great historical hotel to stay in. Lots of history. The desk attendant was very informative and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay again. We stayed because we were in Livingston to see The Bellamy Brothers. If you get a chance stop by Gil's.

When we arrived the only elevator was not operational and we were on the 4 th floor. Had to wait an hour. Once it was operational we had to wait for an employee yo run the elevator. So every time you need Ed the elevator you had to wait for someone from the front desk. When they say free wifi...
