The grand union is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. All the rooms are amazingly appointed while keeping the original feel of the hotel. The beds are to die for. Never have I had a better sleep in a hotel than I did at the Grand Union. The on-site dinning is a true 5 star restaurant in Montana. Worth...

This was a hidden gem that we lucked into along the way for our western trip from the Midwest out to Montana this summer, following a bit of the Louis and Clark path. We were so thankful it ended up being one of our few two-night destinations, rather than just one. I can't say enough positive things about our experience....

We had heard about the Grand Union for a few years and decided to go Labor Day weekend. It fulfilled all our expectations and then some. It has been beautifully and comfortably restored. The food was very good, but the rooms were simply lovely. My only regret was that we could not use their patio (rainy weekend), because it looked...

A beautiful historic buildings with fabulous modern accommodations. You can take a walk by the Missouri River, or through a very charming small town. Fort Benton is filled with historical sites along the powerful Missouri River. I definitely recommend this for a romantic getaway.

Born and raised in Montana. I had heard wonderful things but had never been until this summer. What a slice of heaven, management has done a wonderful job of restoring the Grand Old Hotel. The museums in Fort Benton are the best if you love the story of the old west. And don't miss the story of Shep the dog....

We stayed here before and after a 6 day trip paddling the Upper Missouri River. The rooms were nice, beds comfortable and interesting furnishings, and roomy bathrooms. There is an elevator but also great stairways. It is right on the river and has an exceptional restaurant. Many Lewis and Clark historic sites are in the area.
