Thank you for your review and your return visit. We are so glad you enjoy the slower pace here - and the authentic furnishings and warmth of our original cabins. A slice of real Montana - with wifi and TV for the connected generation. Come...More
The El Western is locally owned and operated, and provides a nice contrast to the homogeneous experience of staying in corporate hotel chains. The El Western's owners have obviously put a lot of love into maintaining the log cabins, which were built in the late...More

There is always fishing on the Madison River. In early June, the lower parts of the river can be murky or run high from the snowmelt, but there are streams and lakes and areas we can point out and many days float trips are still great.
Our cabins are perfect for father-daughter with separate sleeping areas or even large condo-size cabins. It is just an hour's drive to YNP and there are many other attractions within 30-45 minutes of Ennis.
Give us a call and we can help you plan!

While most of our cabins close for the season on October 15, we keep our Moose Lodge and Eagle's Loft Lodge open. These are houses that sleep 6 people. The Moose is a cozy 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath and the Eagle's Loft is a large 3 bedroom, 3 bath. Both are available for a minimum 3 night stay.
Hunting has been very good this year and Ennis offers great support services for hunters including groceries, restaurants, gear, ammo and proximity to public land. Contact us for more information anytime!

"I liked rooms 16 and 17 best. They're on the end and closest to the meadow area."
