If you imagined the kind of cabin you'd stay in if you drove to Glacier in 1950, this is it. The bed has been updated, and fortunately it doesn't smell too bad, but there is little else that resembles anything like 2016, other than the unforgiving high price. The little duplex that we had was something like 50 degrees when...

Rising Sun Motor Inn is "in the park" (East Side) with a great location just across from Lake McDonald. Old fashioned but clean and comfortable. We had the one Queen bed room and the room is rather small. No Wi-Fi unless you go to the office/restaurant. All in all a good value.

Rising Sun is billed as a recently renovated old-style motor inn, which is marketing-speak for a run-down two-star motel with new carpet and headboards. Unfortunately, the outside-the-park options in Saint Mary are few and declining in quality but I would still choose to stay somewhere just outside the park if we visit again. We stayed in a regular inn room,...

it is very nice place, with cute employees and clean rooms. from room it is very nice side view to mountain. Some days you can meet with bears, but don't worry security is every time on. I like Rising Sun!!!

We loved the Rising Sun Motor Inn. This trip was on our bucket list, and we made the trip to Glacier for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a basic room, but it was clean, had a good bed/mattress, enough space to store our belongings and had daily maid service. The shower was tiny, but we had plenty of hot...

Budget accommodation. Nothing else much around. The restaurant is decent. The cabins are really small. We stayed in a cabin with two double beds but it really could have only accommodated one double bed. Nevertheless it is great place to spend one night since you are in the heart of the park. Logan pass is only 12 miles from there....

We tried to rent one of the motel units at Glacier National Park, but they were fully booked. Instead, we considered ourselves fortunate to book a cabin for a few days. However, the first look was very disappointing. The cabin consisted of one room and a toilet/shower combination, thankfully with a door in the bathroom. The sink was outside and...

While this is an older property, walking inside we were blown away. It had recently been renovated and was super cute. We, unfortunately, had one facing away from the really pretty mountains but that did not deter us from sitting on the porch taking it all in. The bed is very comfortable and the place was immaculate. I would stay...

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this motel at the eastern end of Glacier National Park was. It's set apart from the rest of the "village" so is very quiet. It's been recently refurbished, and it shows. The beds were so comfortable, and the bathroom was bigger than in other motels in the park. It was a little pricey...

We spent three nights at Rising Sun in a motor inn room during our 10 day vacation to Glacier National Park. Other than our two night stay at Sperry Chalet, this was our favorite lodging. When we arrived, the check-in was very efficient and the staff very helpful. The building we were in was located toward the back of the...
