Our fishing trip was excellent. Andy is a great guide and a patient teacher, which is very fun and relaxing. We caught quite a few nice fish, enjoyed the SW Montana scenery, and the friendship and fellowship with Andy, Tom and Mary. They run a very good operation and do it very well. Dillon is a nice small town with...

My wife and I have teamed up with Backcounrty Anglers for over ten years. Great outfit. The lodge is just ouside of town and makes for a great place to stay. Love comparing fishing stories with other the guests after a day on the river. The fishing guides are fabulous with an in depth knowledge of the rivers they fish....

Myself and my fishing buddies have been coming to Dillon for the early spring fly fishing on the Beaverhead, Big Hole, and Madison for six years. We keep coming back because the fishing is always great, as are the accommodations, and Tom and Mary and Tom's fellow guides take such good care of us. They are capable and experienced. In...

The Backcountry Angler lodge is clean and comfortable. It's like being in a remote location right in town! Tom and Mary are great hosts, and are attentive to guests' needs. We've stayed there several times and have never had a negative experience. There is a gas grill, so it's convenient to cook your own meals, or head into town to...

I have fished with Backcountry Anglers in past years and always have had a wonderful time. This year's trip was the best ever. Tom Smith, the outfitter, and his guides work very hard to put you on fish. This year I fished with Tom on both the Beaverhead and Big Hole rivers. It was clear from the start that he...

I've been coming to the great fishing in Montana for over 15 years. I met Tom and Mary many years ago in the Florida Keys. Tom was active there as a superb guide for tarpon, bonefish and permit. When he moved to Montana, I followed and have never looked back. Tom and Mary are a renowned fishing couple - that...

This is the best fishing guide service in southwest Montana. And one of the most reasonable prices you will find. They fish all the Dillon area rivers including the Big Hole, Beaver Head and the Madison. Accomac ions at the lodge are very comfortable. This is a family run operation. Tom and Mary the owners are wonderful people and the...

Dillon is a small town and this is a nice quiet two-story "cabin" on Main Street. I stayed in the upstairs unit, which was fully stocked with a kitchen (fridge, microwave, dishes); a bedroom with two double beds; and a living room with Dish TV & another double bed, so it could easily sleep 6. There were about 20 stairs...
