Had to leave a campsite in the nearby national forest due to a bear (we were traveling with an infant, so did not feel safe spending the night in the woods). Came upon this gem right outside Yellowstone National Park, and got a cabin right away. Clean, comfortable, wonderful bathroom and cozy furniture. The owner was super friendly, and was...

This was my second visit to Big Moose Resort. I recommend it highly for the Lamar Valley wolf watching crowd, and for folks wanting somewhere quiet, away from the crowds. Our room was clean, the owner was friendly & easy to work with. The other review about moths & spiders, well, it is a cabin. It is in the outdoors,...

I stayed here for one night on a trip with my mom. The owners were welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We went to the Miner Saloon for dinner based on her rec and it was fabulous! The cabin was comfy, cozy and clean. It had two beds and a bathroom; just what we needed! I would...

We have been to Yellowstone a number of times, and like proximity to the Lamar Valley. Was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and DirecTV too! We love the Beartooth Hiwy unfortunately the pass was closed, however we were able to get to the Chief Joseph, which was spectacular as well.

Overall, our stay was fine. It kept us sheltered from bears, and it gave us a place to sleep. However, when we walked into the cabin it smelled musky and looked dirty. On the wall there was a smashed spider that nobody had bothered to clean up. Gross! Even though it is a cabin it should still be clean! Throughout...

This is a good place to stay if you are coming into Yellowstone from Red Lodge, Montana. The drive up and over Beartooth pass to get here is spectacular, you are about 10 minutes from the entrance to the park, and the little town is about 3 miles away. They have only a few cabins, but they did the job...

We've been staying at Big Moose Resort for several years. The cabins are spotless and the hosts wonderful, friendly people. Big Moose is a great place to stay with it's being so close to Yellowstone. You can hike from the front door on some beautiful trails. Will definitely stay there again!!

The owners of this little place are wonderful & so friendly! We loved our little cabin with a beautiful view of a mountain. Cabins are right off Beartooth Pass, but the traffic noise was negligible. Only a few miles from Yellowstone. Quite a stretch of drive over to Old Faithful, but totally beautiful. Wonderful trip! Would gladly return!

A fair price for a rustic type atmosphere. Good for a Yellowstone visit, also several national forest attractions close by in the opposite direction. I asked about a fire pit, theirs was covered with snow at the time, and they brought us a metal one to use by the end of the day! The duplex style units are not very...

We stayed here for one night on a 2-day Yellowstone visit between driving the Beartooth Highway and Grand Teton National Park. We will ABSOLUTELY stay here in the future! The cabins were spacious, warm, inviting, conveniently located, spotlessly clean and had lots of thoughtful amenities. The grounds were very nice, and the proximity to both Cooke City and the Yellowstone...
