The pine room was our choice for our first time at Smoky Bear. It's right off the kitchen in the main ranch house. Not very big, but has all basic amenities. Very clean. Friendly hosts. Able to accommodate our breakfast needs. Would probably choose a...More
The cabin we stayed in was quiet, clean and perfect for our trip. We stayed in the Little Griz cabin and the hosts, cabin and site were great! The stars are amazing from the front porch, and the hosts were great with helping us same...More
Convenient location, but staying at a place in the park would give greater value for the cost and be more convenient, cutting down on travel time and ensuring early access to the park's shuttle service. We got to the park one morning only to learn...More
Extremely clean, private cabin(little bear)with basic amenities. Perfect size for 3-4 people. Steep stairs to upstairs loft, wouldn't be easy for mobility challenged or kids under 4. Loved everything except lack of sink in bathroom & unfortunately no campfires due to fire restrictions. Owners very knowledgeable about...More

My husband and I stayed at Smoky Bear Ranch last September, and it was fabulous, however, I seem to remember something about restrictions on children in the main lodge - but don't remember the specifics. I checked and can't find it on the website, but it used to be there someplace... maybe it has changed. There is a cabin option, but that doesn't include breakfast, which was WONDERFUL. I don't remember what time, but I'm thinking it was 8 AM. The route you mentioned for getting to West Glacier from there was a good one, and Nancy and Scott were really helpful with directions and suggestions, they know the area REALLY well! I hope this helps you... to contact them directly to find out about their policy on kids, the phone number is: 1-800-555-3806.
