Stayed on this site this weekend nice big site. Friendly staff, gorgeous ice creams ideal for the water sport centre but I only found two water taps to fill up the motor home. One was by the seasonal and awkward to turn around the other by the toilet block. Needs more with easier access for the size of the site. Otherwise lovely site and will be coming back but will fill up first
Last minute break and couldn’t fault it, there is everything you will need on site. And a lovely restaurant around the corner on another caravan park which is expensive but you pay for what you get! Highly recommend and we will be returning for longer next time.
To be honest this little campsite is a bit of a work in progress. The facilities were basic but new ones are being built. It didn't help the weather being very changeable and heavy rain before had meant some of the pitches and roads were muddy in places especially by the toilet block (which affected cleanliness inside them) which wasn't the sites fault. The approach road was very lot holey however we had a nice hardstanding with electric no.26 which we really liked. The positives though of this site was the enthusiasm of the young male wardens. They were lovely. Also the ice cream parlour which sold homemade ice cream with flavours to die for. The young lady selling these was lovely too. But the very best thing about it is the location. Rugged and beautiful walks along the lakeside and sea wall with views over both sides of the estuary. The tides were amazing and the landscaped changed with every turn of the tide 4 times a day. We will definitely be returning next year when hopefully the site will have developed a bit more. One to watch. Fabulous.…
We booked last minute for 2 nights, grass pitch with no electric. Welcomed at by staff and informed where we could pitch up. The showers were hot and the toilets cleaned regularly, I went at 6am and someone was cleaning them then. They are building new bathrooms at the moment, this will make the place better. We had bad weather, although the ground got a bit soggy, no waterlog in the morning. Site is close to the beach and has places to eat within walking distance. It is basic compared to other sites but I would recommend and visit again. FYI if you go, make sure you have som elf the ice cream - lush.
Stayed here for two nights in August in our Campervan. Check in was easy was given all information we needed. Toilet & shower blocks located in the middle of the park which is ideal. Toilet and shower blocks basic. Could be better. Site is in a great location right next to the beach a couple of places to eat locally but not always open so we didn't manage to visit. Really flat so great for biking and safe. Lagoon with water sports activities available within a five minute walk. Right around the back of the Lagoon is an area suitable for canoeing and paddle boards swimming etc. The water was warm kids swam in here supervised. Lots of places to walk lots of wildlife, dragonflies, frogs, birds. Great Ice cream hut on site serving lovely ice cream, smoothies and hot drinks. Off licence within walking distance shuts at 6.30pm. Tesco five minute drive away. Would visit again. Would like better facilities! Thankyou…
