I planned a stay a stay for my anniversary. Stacy was very communicative and helped make the experience fantastic. Breakfasts were creative and satisfying (albeit later than my normal breakfast, it was more like brunch). Stacy is a good cook. The wife came down with the flu before the trip, so we were able to fully utilize the room (Charles...

We're happy to hear that your wife was able to rest and recover during your stay with us, and that you were able to enjoy the oversized jetted tub and premium movies-on-demand that we offer our guests. We recently spent a long weekend at Napoleon's Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. First and foremost, Stacy could not have been a more friendly, helpful, kind, or cheerful hostess. Her hard work really enhances the Napoleon's Retreat experience. She and Brian clearly care deeply about your comfort and enjoyment of their B&B and it shows. Second, the...

I stayed at the Napoleon Retreat while I had to ship my car out to Germany. Stacy went out of her way to help me clean my car, drive out with me to the port and drove us back to the B&B. she also woke up earlier to make me breakfast the next day for my flight. The rooms are...

Our room was wonderful (we had the Josephine suite for 2 nights). Very comfortable and private. The breakfasts at Napoleon's Retreat were beyond amazing. This was our last B&B stop, after a 2 week trip and staying at several others. All were wonderful, but have to say this one had the best breakfast by far (and the owner even left...

It was such a pleasure meeting you, and we're very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. It was wonderful that you had gorgeous weather during your stay. The private balcony of the Josephine was the perfect setting for a few relaxing games of cribbage. Thank you for giving us the chance to be your hosts. We hope...

My mother and I stayed at Napolean's Retreat for one night as part of a mini-break/long-weekend road trip we were doing just for fun. Our first stay was in St. Louis, and from there we traveled to Hannibal, MO, and then to the Amana colonies. Let's just say that the other inns at which we stayed on our trip did...

We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We love hearing about our guests' travels, and your road trip sounded delightful! It's difficult to compare an urban inn like Napoleon's Retreat to those in more rural settings, which may sometimes have fewer amenities and thus are more modestly priced. Most of our rooms are less expensive than...

Stacy and Brian were excellent hosts. We enjoyed personalized attention, delicious breakfasts, and elegant rooms. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast! Within walking distance to a grocery store, local brewery, coffee shop, restaurants, and dessert bar. Cannot say enough about Stacy's recommendations on where to find the best food and local entertainment! She was so accommodating and always eager to...

Stacy makes the bed and breakfast experience very special. The quality of the breakfast is totally 5 star both in the level of gourmet cooking and in the presentation. She also takes the time to let you know what is available in St Louis according to your interests. The room was very clean and the interior decorating was suburb throughout.

I don't like to write negative reviews. Therefore, I will start with the pros: 1. Lovely period home; nicely decorated and well cared for 2. Food is good 3. Neighborhood is fantastic; we really love it! 4. Room was spacious with a very well functioning, smaller-sized bath Now, the cons: 1. Our room, Lafayette, was on the 2nd floor of...

Shayne, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that your time with us did not meet your expectations. The room that you stayed in, the Lafayette, has a new mattress that we purchased last year. We've received a lot of positive feedback about it, but unfortunately it did not meet your needs....

Delicious food, perfect location, great hosts, and a lovely property all make this a fantastic b&b! Stacy is an excellent host (and cook) the bed was so comfortable and all of the sites of the city are nearby. Although one could easily never leave the property, much less the lovely little neighborhood. I can't wait to return.
