HotelLumiere is ideally situated for anyone wanting to be in the heart of downtown St. Louis. We recently spent several nights there and came away with these 4 specific suggestions: 1) More light in the bathroom - specifically the area of the tub/shower. Why no light in that area? 2) Grab bars in the tub/shower area. Isn't there a federal...

Overall, I would say the stay was a positive one, but we had to switch rooms. The first room we entered had a big red stain in the middle of the carpet and someone's half-consumed bottle of water in it. There was also a terrible rotten egg-type smell. A maintenance guy came up to smell the room. He said it...

My husband and I decided to take an evening to ourselves and stay at the Hotelumiere in St. Louis. We had never stayed there and thought it sounded nice. It's attached to a casino so we drove over after work on Friday and planned to eat a nice dinner and gamble a little bit. The price of the room when...

we booked through Orbitz and got an incredible deal on a King Suite, we then immediately went back to book an additional suite with two Queens and it the Orbitz deal had sold out so we reserved another room through the front desk at a very reasonable rate. After a 10 hour car ride all my six year old wanted...

We stayed here in between Christmas and New Years and were not impressed, but it at least met our expectations of a simple hotel. The hotel was not very clean but simple and good enough. I would recommend spending the extra money and staying at the four seasons next door. You get all of the Lumiere perks of easy access...

My family with 2 young kids were on a long road trip. The hotel that we initially booked did not have a functioning indoor swimming pool so Expedia arranged for us to go to HoteLumiere instead. When we arrived to the front desk there was a notice regarding only registered hotel guests are allowed to use the pool. Red Flag!...

Thank you, foodnetworkgroupie, for your comments as we appreciate all feedback. I do apologize for the chemical imbalance that created the "foggy" appearance - it took time to rectify but please know the water was not "dirty". Yes, our pool is for our registered guests. I'm sorry that you see that as a "red flag" but we set this policy...

As a family of 7, we stayed in St. Louis for a night and played during the day. The hotel was very easy to find and looked very nice inside. Staff were very friendly there. The first thing that discouraged me was the fact that hotel parking was $10 a car, which was not noted when making the reservation. We...

Formerly an Embassy Suites Hotel, the Lumiere has the suites and big atrium, very nice, well-appointed. It's right on the Mississippi River, close to Gateway Arch and Laclede Landing. There's a bridge to Lumiere Place Casino. It's price is a bargain for the area.

My family stayed at this hotel after attending a Supercross race at the Edward Jones Dome. The room itself was clean and adequate for our needs.
