Situated in a big garden on an exotic bay in the south of the island. Big swimming pool of 15m length and spa for massages, situated along a 90 m white sand beach. Satellite TV, free WIFI, AC , minibar, safe, water bottle ,coffee and tea facilities in every room. all amenities in bathroom. The Belgian-Sri Lankan chef , with experience in big European hotels prepares you daily a four course menu, that is served at your table. We also have a menu "a la carte " . We speak English, French, Dutch, Spanish , Singhalese and a basic German. There are 10 staff members at your disposal. Situated 80m from the main road , we have no traffic sound problems. Also situated 3 km from main Mirissa beach and the harbour where you can take a boat for whale watching. Galle and his Dutch Fort is easily reachable by train ( train station at 500m ), by bus or by car. We organise safari at Udawalawe national parc, Yalla parc , river safaris, whale watching tours and visits to sea turtle farms and bird sanctuary.

Spending three weeks in Sri Lanka and moving from hotel to hotel every one to two days, we spent two days here. Fantastic! This hotel is run by Marnix from Belgium and his customer service and attention to detail is of the best European standards. Yes, it is a small bit away from Mirissa but RS350 will get you in there in a Tuk Tuk. The Villa is located on a vast expanse of what can only be called deserted beaches which to me, more than makes up for its location. You wont go wrong with a stay here.

We were welcomed by Marnix, Wije and the crew on arrival. While few formalities were completed our luggage was sent to our pre-air conditioned rooms and we had a lovely freshly made welcome drink.
From the start there was a homely feeling to the Villa hotel. There were many cozy spaces either common or near each very uniquely designed room for one to spend outside the room, near the pool and overlooking the ocean.
Our rooms were very clean, everything worked and the modern bathrooms were large, open and felt very clean. There are only 10 rooms, making the stay feel very exclusive. The sea and the pool are visible from every room.
The beach partially goes into the property which is protected by a wired fence, but the gate to the beach is always open. The two in house pet dogs Mocca and Lucky ensure that the guests are protected. One of them accompanied us on our first walk on the beach as a personal body guards. We felt very safe at all times and would assume the for little children.
Throughout our stay there were never more than 15-20 people, if at all in the entire stretch of beach and on one outing a fisherman let us see his live catch of an octopus, star fish and many colourful fish.
The place is uniquely fortunate to be able to offer a sunrise on one and a sunset on the other side.
More than a restaurant, I would call the dining area a open dining room at the beach. There is a small but fine continental menu, where everything wqs of highest quality and freshly prepared. We opted for a Sri-Lankan dinner on one evening.
Every morning we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs to order, bread, cheese, home made jams, juices, etc. and on one morning we opted for Sri Lankan cuisine. There was a changing special dinner menu every day, where one needed to let the team know some time early evening.
The entire crew was very professional and caring at the same time. They were ready to be asked for any kind of help and would always try and find a solution, like organising a whale watching tour or a trusted Tuk Tuk driver to take one to Mirissa. The entire team, Marnix and Wije made us feel welcome and at home throughout our stay.
The busy beach and surfer’s paradise of Mirissa is 4 km away. One can take a Tuk Tuk at a resonable price to feel a more touristy spot with its many beach bars and food outlets.
Otherwise the Imagine Villa hotel is very peaceful, a place to get away from a busy life, a place that feels like a home in Europe, while enjoying a tropical Ocean.
We had a lovely time and wished we could have spent few more days.

This is a super location and gives a good run to the so called 5 star hotels with their welcoming property, the peaceful atmosphere, the service which goes beyond the call of duty and their thoughtfulness in making your stay an extremely unforgettable experience. Wije and his team make you feel so much a home always surprising you with what they can do to make our stay a fabulous one. Kudos to this hotel which is beautiful and perfect in every way. Their intentions of customer delight are so genuine and Wije has trained the boys so well. They strive for perfection in whatever they do. They are truly serving you with all their heart. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Imagine Villa - the spacious rooms with balcony seating and ocean views, the pool & patio for lounging, the delicious and varied meals served by the ocean, the gracious host and attentive staff, and falling asleep to the waves. The property is beautiful and nicely appointed; the location is private but with easy access to nearby towns and attractions. We only stayed two nights but wished we had more. If we have the chance, we’ll be back. Highly recommend!

Having just sent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel as we travel Sri Lanka on our honeymoon,we are already wishing we had booked for longer. The owner is so welcoming and checks daily if all is okay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, spotless and have amazing views of the ocean. We had lunch on both days and I can highly recommend the tuna salad and the burger which my husband had on both days!The pool is quiet, perfect for chilling out. The breakfast area is fabulous and they serve dinner here as well.It's a short tuk tuk into town and they will call you one approx.350rupees. You can feel the western touch within this hotel and one of the best I've stayed in so far in Sri Lanka! We will definitely be back.

One of our two favourite hotels in Sri Lanka! We booked this little hotel (10 rooms) for more than a week at the end of our trip because we knew how wonderful the stay will be. We had a very generous room and the pool was long enough to really swim. Kitchen was great! The cook (one of the two extremely friendly owners) is native Singhalese and worked in Belgium before, with outstanding results! Though there are very fine restaurants in the area for sure, this place offers meals a 100 % according to our taste. Take the daily changing menu, something from the regular menu or just speak with the cook to have something individual. And don't forget to test the bar, if you are there! The hotel sits right on the beach (sand and rocks). To swim in the Indian Ocean, you should walk a bit, but you might miss peacocks, a mungo, turtles, crabs, fish and the wonderful sound of breaking waves right in front of your room... ;-). It's also possible to start for example whale watching from here (You will be picked up by Tuk-Tuk). Coming to the best part... we were used to very good service in Sri Lanka, but all staff and the owners of the villa were really so attentive and friendly as if they knew us for a long time. Great place, will return again for sure.

Literally thus place has overnight become one of my favourite places to stay. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6. We've only moved on as had already booked accomodation elsewhere. The rooms are very comfortable, comfy bed seating area in our room) AC, and good shower water pressure. The poolside and beach front, both within about 20 steps from our room. Very chilled, with perfect sun bathing beds. Pool is a nice cool down. The food breakfast and evening meal are literally fantastic, with so much on offer, and they are certainly looking for quality here, couldn't ask for anything else. I guess what sets this place apart from others is the professionalism and the friendliness from the owners/management, through all the staff, including the two lovely old dogs who keep a very lazy eye on everything. Walks on the beach are lovely as you're literally on the water front. During our stay we met another couple who had returned to imagine as they missed the chilled out, and getting looked after feel. This is literally amazing value for money and we certainly hope one day to come back. Well done and thank you to everyone at Imagine

Stayed for 7 nights last month and can not fault this hotel. We were promised the best room with amazing views and it didn’t disappoint. Photographs do not do this hotel justice, the owner was incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. All of the team were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant for dinner three times and were left speechless by the quality of the cuisine. Would highly recommend this superb hotel.

My wife and I stayed there for 6 nights. The room was spacious and clean, the food was excellent and the pool and ambiance were just perfect. Eating whilst you are watching, or listening, to the waves crash in as you eat your breakfast or dinner was so relaxing.
The staff are attentive to your needs and the owners are welcoming and interested in making your stay a great experience.
Welligama is a 10 mimute Tuk Tuk ride away if you fancy a day surfing. A great boutique hotel.

It's not 5 min, quite a bit further - maybe 20-30 min walk. The ocean outside is way too rough. I wouldn't recommend staying in Imagine Villa if you are traveling with children.
Yes we have a transport service.
the pauck up at the airport costs 14.500 Rs ( about 100 $ ) included the parking, entrance at the airport and the 2 highways.
It is about 180 km.
"Not to reservations , rooms are not standard , when pay LKR exchange rate is higher ,cant negotiate with owner , foods are no taste, double sharing beds are small, 😟😟😟"
There are more places to choose from in the Kamburugamuwa area.
