Galle and his Dutch Fort is easily reachable by train ( train station at 500m ), by bus or by car. We organise safari at Udawalawe national parc, Yalla parc , river safaris, whale watching tours and visits to sea turtle farms and bird sanctuary.

Visiting Imagine Villa Hotel is always so good. The sound of the ocean is allready so nice because you find yourself so near to it and every single day you enjoy it to the full. I was at Imagine for one week in November and I loved my stay every single second. The staff is so frendly, they are really there for all your needs and questions. The food is so good, from the fantastic breakfast to the sublime dinners near the ocean. Imagine is like visiting friends and family to me. I'll be back many times. I really love this place. The staff were great they answered for all our little dimand freely and happily the sweeminpool was great and the food fantastic the beach was great too, and we saw stick fisherman nextby the hotel beach and the hotel made us the best meal with the same fisf.

A really lovely place well appointed very clean. Wonderful breakfast. Right on the ocean crystal clear swimming pool and everything works as it should impressed by the staff and run by the owner. Who is European. Would’ve stayed a second night if we had more time in Sri Lanka.

Even better than the pictures as you cannot hear the constant presence of the sea, feel the warm welcome of the hosts and staff or taste the mouthwatering meals. Beach experience limited as shelves steeply in this area and waves are large, however pool is perfect for a swim. If staying a few nights try the zephyr bar 5 mins walk west on the beach for another lovely evening meal with live music. Rooms comfortable and clean. Oh , I have to say their signature cocktail with passionfruit and arrak was sensational , think it was the nicest one I have ever sampled

One of our two favourite hotels in Sri Lanka! We booked this little hotel (10 rooms) for more than a week at the end of our trip because we knew how wonderful the stay will be. We had a very generous room and the pool was long enough to really swim. Kitchen was great! The cook (one of the two extremely friendly owners) is native Singhalese and worked in Belgium before, with outstanding results! Though there are very fine restaurants in the area for sure, this place offers meals a 100 % according to our taste. Take the daily changing menu, something from the regular menu or just speak with the cook to have something individual. And don't forget to test the bar, if you are there! The hotel sits right on the beach (sand and rocks). To swim in the Indian Ocean, you should walk a bit, but you might miss peacocks, a mungo, turtles, crabs, fish and the wonderful sound of breaking waves right in front of your room... ;-). It's also possible to start for example whale watching from here (You will be picked up by Tuk-Tuk). Coming to the best part... we were used to very good service in Sri Lanka, but all staff and the owners of the villa were really so attentive and friendly as if they knew us for a long time. Great place, will return again for sure.…

We were welcomed by Marnix, Wije and the crew on arrival. While few formalities were completed our luggage was sent to our pre-air conditioned rooms and we had a lovely freshly made welcome drink. From the start there was a homely feeling to the Villa hotel. There were many cozy spaces either common or near each very uniquely designed room for one to spend outside the room, near the pool and overlooking the ocean. Our rooms were very clean, everything worked and the modern bathrooms were large, open and felt very clean. There are only 10 rooms, making the stay feel very exclusive. The sea and the pool are visible from every room. The beach partially goes into the property which is protected by a wired fence, but the gate to the beach is always open. The two in house pet dogs Mocca and Lucky ensure that the guests are protected. One of them accompanied us on our first walk on the beach as a personal body guards. We felt very safe at all times and would assume the for little children. Throughout our stay there were never more than 15-20 people, if at all in the entire stretch of beach and on one outing a fisherman let us see his live catch of an octopus, star fish and many colourful fish. The place is uniquely fortunate to be able to offer a sunrise on one and a sunset on the other side. More than a restaurant, I would call the dining area a open dining room at the beach. There is a small but fine continental menu, where everything wqs of highest quality and freshly prepared. We opted for a Sri-Lankan dinner on one evening. Every morning we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs to order, bread, cheese, home made jams, juices, etc. and on one morning we opted for Sri Lankan cuisine. There was a changing special dinner menu every day, where one needed to let the team know some time early evening. The entire crew was very professional and caring at the same time. They were ready to be asked for any kind of help and would always try and find a solution, like organising a whale watching tour or a trusted Tuk Tuk driver to take one to Mirissa. The entire team, Marnix and Wije made us feel welcome and at home throughout our stay. The busy beach and surfer’s paradise of Mirissa is 4 km away. One can take a Tuk Tuk at a resonable price to feel a more touristy spot with its many beach bars and food outlets. Otherwise the Imagine Villa hotel is very peaceful, a place to get away from a busy life, a place that feels like a home in Europe, while enjoying a tropical Ocean. We had a lovely time and wished we could have spent few more days.…

Great calm place on the edge of the ocean! We stayed here for one week with family. I highly recommend this place for people with kids and couples in different ages . Here you have everything for happy holiday time. Great hotel team cleaning your room every day, towels changed every day, great breakfasts individually serviced. Swimming pool and area around all what you need to chill. Ocean in front of hotel not for swimming but if you want you could any moment go by TukTuk to Mirissa or Weligama beach, price for transfer less then cheap.
