Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the moment we stepped foot at Islander Lodge we knew we found the perfect location! Sweeping water views across to Nepean and Phillip Islands, with norfolk pines was just breath taking. Waking up to this view was just magical! So peaceful, with cows coming up to greet us by the side of the fence. Spotless accom with everything you need should you stay in and do a bit of cooking. Very self contained with washing machine and dryer. We had a rental car which was about a 5 min drive to the main street of Norfolk Island. Would thoroughly recommend Islander Lodge.

I found Islander Lodge through Norfolk Select Travel. The view from the front patio is spectacular. The unit is roomy, welcoming, clean and had everything you would need for a weeks stay. Huge bathroom, washing machine, BBQ, full gas stove back deck with clothes line, pegs as well as small table and chairs. Linen is provided. Just a lovely place to stay - out of the way.

Spent a week at Islander Lodge and wish we stayed longer. You could sit out on the verandah all day and admire the views. Spotless and has everything you need for your stay. Local phone provided as Australian sim cards don't work on the Island. Two vouchers are given to use the WiFi each with two gigs. A short drive into town and down to the Historic area. Washing machine and dryer are an added bonus Rental cars are provided for a very reasonable price. Would only stay at Islander Lodge on my next visit because of the accommodation and views

Exceptional location over looking the coast and heritage site. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, quiet and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Would not hesitate to stay again, and would highly recommend.

A group of 10 of us booked through Norfolk Island Travel for our first trip to Norfolk Island. Our package included flights, car hire, accommodation and 10 tours. Everything was perfectly organised and we enjoyed all of the tours and learning the history of the island. The absolute hilight was our accommodation at Islander Lodge which overlooks historic Kingston and us under 10 mins drive to the centre of town. Whilst not ultra modern, it was very comfortable and everything thing imaginable was included, even a picnic basket! But the best thing was it is a group of 5 apartments (just right for our group) with the most magnificent views. This trip exceeded our expectations.

This is an excellent place to stay. Close enough to the town but far enough away. Its clean, well furnished and the view whilst sitting outside have a glass of red worth the entire trip. You must have a car and plan on cooking some meals yourself. Bring cheese, breakfast, UHT milk and biscuits. Have a picnic at a park by taking the kit with you. We did. This is the place to stay and relax.

We have just returned home after our 3rd visit to Islander Lodge. This time we spent 2 weeks on your beautiful island. The units are spotless and the friendly easy going staff are onto things immediately should the need arise. My husband had a good chat to Borrie as he dropped off a full bunch of bananas for us all to share. We will be back and are tempted to try Endeavour for a change, but feel nothing could match The Islander.

If you're wondering why all the travellers rave about the view, it's because it IS the best! Very relaxing to sit out on the veranda and soak up the twin beauties of water and historic dwellings. The unit is cosy with everything you could need to feel at home. Lovely big bathroom, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen. Our hire car was waiting for us at the unit, after our free transfer from the airport, which made it very easy for us! We were super sad to leave and will defs book this again when we return.

This was our second time to Islander Lodge and we just find it so relaxing and peaceful. The view is amazing and we even saw whales, couldn't recommend highly enough. Just up the hill from Kingston and looking out to Emily Bay, we found that it is a quick drive to anywhere.

Sensational view , very clean apartment with everything you could need right down to the picnic basket. Has a washing machine as well as a Weber BBQ so you can enjoy the fresh Island beef or fish. 5 min to town and 1 min to the historic Kingston district. A wonderful place to stay, All round great location with very helpful hosts when needed. Photos do not do the view justice.
