Comfortable, spacious cabin with most things you'll need for a week's stay; garden surrounds are attractive and very well kept. However, the kitchenette was inadequate with no bowls etc in which to heat meals in the microwave, no toaster, not even a cloth to wipe down the sink. The restaurant was very good, with an inexpensive dinner option that included...

I rang the Governor's Lodge direct for accommodation, transfers, airfares, hire car, packages etc. Were easier to deal with then our local travel agents. We enjoyed our 4 night stay in an executive cabin. Staff were friendly and without our request changed our towels daily as well as cleaned our kitchenette and emptied rubbish bins. Car was parked outside our cabin...

We may have been unlucky, we decided we would try the three course set meal they were offering for the Sunday night. On arriving at the restaurant we were seated and ordered drinks. The drinks were duly delivered in a very unprofessional manner at the same time as our soup( which was a pretty poor excuse for pumpkin soup) Then...

Governor's lodge (Govs in local parlance) is a well appointed facility with modern cabins, well maintained infrastructure (roads, gardens), friendly and helpful staff, fairly central (town centre is very spread out). Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has early evening set menu which is a cheap way to eat if on a budget. Our cabin was quiet...

We found the resort to have everything we needed. Good sized clean rooms, pool, dining room, free continental breakfast. The even had beach towels and an umbrella. The resort also had snorkles and find you could borrow to go snorkle get at Emily bay or slaughter bay. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. Well done Govs.

The Governor's Lodge consists of clusters of small, individual cabins not unlike the ones seen in upmarket Australian caravan parks. The cabins have separate bedrooms and are adequately equipped with a kitchenette, TV and the expected furniture such as a lounge and a dining table and chairs. Cooling is provided by ceiling fans. There is also a small verandah with...
