Detailed Reviews
We stayed in unit 10(1 bedroom, 1 living area) right at the end of the property. All units in the complex have only recently been renovated and refurbished by the new owners. Right from the beginning, and this includes the initial correspondence, you get the feeling that the owners want to do the best they can to make you comfortable in your "temporary new home". The accommodation is very clean and provides everything that guests need who prefer self-catering. Continental breakfast is provided which includes home made bread varieties and jams - delicious. Little touches such as a mobile phone provided by the owners to cope with N.I. unique communication system, delivery and pick-up of the hire car at the unit, 2 muffins given to us when we departed to be consumed at the airport whilst waiting were very much appreciated and demonstrated again what the true meaning of hospitality is.
There is also plenty of opportunity to talk to your fellow guests during breakfast or to any of the owners Tina, Steve, Byron (Truck) and Heidi. All are very approachable and will answer all the questions you might have regarding your stay on the island.
The location is very close to cafes and restaurants, the information centre, farmers ' market and art and craft market are just across the road. Despite its central location the units are very quiet as they are at the rear of the large property and ca 100 m away from the road. Be reminded that the speed limit on the island is 50 km/hr or 40 km/hr in the Village itself.
Thank you all for lovely 8 days on the island.
All in all, we can highly recommend Burnt Pine Boutique Apartments. We are certain you will not be disappointed..
Finally, we wish the owners all the best with their new venture and may the skies open and give you the much needed rain.

We understand that there are so many places for you to visit, however if you get a chance we would love to have you back this way and I look forward to hearing about your bread making Angelika. My third stay at these appartments and I will look forward to returning again. Everything you need is at Burnt pines and if you want something Tina and Steve will find. The rooms are well equipped from bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies wifi and a mobile phone. The view is spectacular. Will definite stay here again. The farewell muffin is worth the return visit alone. Thanks again for your hospitality

The two couples who renovated this place and run it have find a great job and provide outstanding hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble. I hadn’t booked a car and they called to ask if they could give me a ride for dinner as it was raining and also picked me up from the Bounty Museum.
The home made breads for breakfast are divine and the home made muffin for your flight home with a request to pay a kindness forward is so thoughtful.
They deserve the accolades.

We stayed 9 nights at Burnt Pine apartments and could not be any happier.
The team of Tina, Heidi,Steve and Byron(truck) could not be more helpful.
The accommodation was extremely clean, comfortable and central location.
It had everything we needed and they even had a local mobile phone ready to use, which was very convenient. They lent us beach and rain umbrellas and esky for our drinks to take on tours. The breakfast everyday of freshly baked bread on the premises and locally made cereals with local fruit combined with plunge coffee and tea made for a great start to the day after our morning snorkel!! I would not stay anywhere else on a return visit, well done to you all.

Hi John & Sharon, Thank you so much for the great review, being in the industry yourself you know how much we appreciate your feedback. Byron "Truck" and Heidi Adams have taken a tired old resort and through imagination and sheer hard work have turned it into the best looking luxury apartments that you could imagine. As an example, the 2 bedroom units have an en suite for EACH bedroom. Each unit has kitchen and laundry, and some of the units have a view right down to Kingston. Breakfast is included in the tariff. The units are set well back from the road, and you can actually imagine yourself in the country.

Hi John, Thank you for your wonderful review, it is lovely to hear that all of our efforts are paying off, just a couple of things to clarify as I would not want anyone to arrive and not have something they were expecting. Each and every apartment has been recently refurbished. Our dedicated two bedroom apartments have a laundry included in the apartment, the one bedroom and studio apartments have a guest laundry which is free of charge with laundry powder provided. Our famous "Home Grown & Home Made" Continental breakfast is included in our tariff and is a wonderful way to meet and mingle with all of us. Each and every apartment has a private balcony and an Ocean View with views of Phillip Island. Thanks for us, for taking the time to pass on your insights and we hope to see you back this way one day soon. Cheers Tina

We stayed there last week for 7 days, & the hosts, Tina, Steve, Truck, Heidi & Donna were warm & welcoming, from the moment they picked us up from the airport, the running commentary about what to see on the way to the apartments, at breakfast (thanks Tina for those yummy breads) till they dropped us back at the airport for our return flight, together with a delicious muffin for the flight. Even though you were obviously busy painting, you always stopped for a chat or to see if they could do anything for us. The apartment was spacious, clean & comfortable, and well situated in the middle of Burnt Pine, so walking distance to a lot of cafes & clubs. Thanks for a great week. Robyn & Richard.

Hi Robyn & Richard, Those 7 days seemed to just fly by, it was lovely chatting to you both - funny how you didn't want to paint on your holiday! With a bit of luck, by the time you return we will have all the painting finished. It is also lovely hearing that you enjoyed what we are doing and that you obviously found some of the "Magic" that is what Norfolk is all about. See you one day soon. Thanks for us. Cheers Tina

Excellent service from airport pickup to the drop off at our apartment. Our hosts were amazing and could not do enough for us and answered all our questions (our first time
to Norfolk island). Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Apartment was immaculate with lots of space, great views and a great location within walking distance to shops and cafes. A perfect place to relax. Will definitely be going back.

Fantasy Island is a self catering style accomodation, and is located in Burnt Pine opposite the Bi-centenial complex where the produce markets are held on Saturday mornings and the craft markets on Sunday morning. Shops and cafes are within easy walking distance of Fantasy Island. The rooms are spacious light and clean.the staff are very helpful and obliging. The views from the room I stayed in were expansive, peaceful and very beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped with jug ,toaster, small oven, and a carton of milk for tea coffee when you arrive.Should I return to Norfolk I would definitely return to Fantasy Island. Sharon and her team,(and Tootsie),do a wonderful job of making you feel very at home and welcome. Thank you Sharon for a very happy and memorable time at Fantasy Island Resort.

Having just spent a week at this resort, it cannot be faulted , we were greeted at the airport by the owners of this resort , who are ever so welcoming and caring lovely people , we were given a delightful tour of the main shopping area and where all essential facilities where , as the resort is located right in walking distance of all these requirements we couldn't have been more delighted . Our self contained unit at the resort was very spacious with a spacious lounge , with kitchen at one end then two bedrooms running off the lounge both with own ensuite , televisions in both bedrooms . A large bunch of the most delish bananas we had ever eaten awaited our arrival :) we also had a covered balcony with a gorgeous view down to the sea absolutely spectacular . The rooms are spotless With beautiful hibiscus on the table ! There was also tea & coffee etc supplied , plus a litre container of milk in the fridge . The convenience of a car from the resort was fantastic to drive all over the island and view the magnificent scenery and read all about the history of the island which was incredible . Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff , wonderful service , the cliff top breakfast is something not to be missed , plus the half day tour very worthwhile :) and the delightful fish fry hosted by the owners is also a must do . Thouroughly enjoyed the whole experience and truelly did not want to leave the island , oh forgot to add what great shopping also and cheap alcohol for those so inclined . Will definitely be returning and can certainly recommend it to any one wanting a really relaxing get away from it all holiday , just so tranquil , peaceful and serene , thank you to the people of Norfolk island for a wonderful holiday ,,,,
