Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my third visit to Norfolk Island but this time I travelled with two other lady friends who were on their first visit to "paradise". We chose to stay at Dii Eldu house which provided us with 3 separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of indoor and outdoor living space. We found the house to be well appointed, very comfortable and contained everything that we needed to make our holiday adventurous, relaxing and loads of fun. A car was provided with the booking giving us the freedom to explore the whole island which can take the whole week as there is so much beauty to see.
Dii Eldu is a great place to stay with couples or a family groups sharing as you have plenty of space to spread out. With the added bonus of another cottage on the same property small groups and couples would find the property an excellent choice.
Your host, Wayne, does a meet and greet at the airport on arrival and takes you to the property showing you around.
This is a great place to stay offering everything you need, is private yet only minutes away from the centre of town or other local attractions.

I took my parents and sister to NI and stayed at the large house on the property. We were met at the airport by Rosalie, and given a guided tour of the town - Burnt Pine - before she settled us into the house. Rosalie had done some shopping for us which we really appreciated. The house is in a great setting with views to the west, and close to the sunset cliffs of Puppy Point. It was only 2 minutes drive into the town to do the shopping. The outside barbeque and outdoor setting were great.

The only problem was noise on Saturday night drifting across the valley from the rugby league club, and one night the other house had a party which was still going at 2.30am in the morning. With no resident owner on the property we had to go down finally and ask them to turn down the music, and got a very rude reception. We range the owner the next day and he assured us would speak to them and we had no more problems.

There are 3 bedrooms and a very large space for dining and living. We would stay again if we had a large group.

Thank you for your review on Dii Elduu House, I am sorry the wedding guests in the adjacent Cottage got a little carried away with their celebrations. Rest assured this is extremely rare occurence. Look forward to looking after you again, I did pop in couple of times but you where out enjoying the island. Many thanks for feedback

From the meet and greet at the airport to the facilities provide, Wayne Bedford has to be complimented. He has a number of equally well presented properties in Norfolk Island and is commited to making your stay the best possible. From the small tour and our arrival at the 2brm accomodation we knew our choice had been good. Everything spotless from the car right down to the BBQ, with a mobile phone available too. Two King size beds, each with ensuites and a terrific covered area for shade to sit at our leisure. Burnt Pine and all areas of Norfolk Island are only a short drive away. we really enjoyed our stay and will look to return for another break thanks to Wayne and the very friendly local people. Contact Wayne on ansonbaylodge@ninet.ni fro assistance. Wayne I stole and ate two of the ripe bananas on one of the trees at the back (forgive me but they were so yummy!!). See you in the future, Flight Centre were great in organising this break for us. Regards Phil & Margaret Stevens

Lovely little spot about 2km out of town. We stayed with kids, who used their rented mountain bikes to go into town to get ice creams. Killer hills on the bikes, but a breeze in the car.
The house is nice, the main attraction being the quiet, and the large open lawns where lots of cricket campaigns were fought.
The house has no air conditioning or fans, which we thought would be a problem, but wasn't the house is naturally cool. No free Wi-Fi through the house, but like all tourists on the island, you have to buy it by the hour using little cards bought at shops in town.
We had a nice stay here.

A big thankyou to Wayne Bedford for our wonderful stay at Dii Elduu....a lovely self contained, two bedroom [each with ensuite] cottage and only a couple of minutes drive to town. The cottage was new, walls lined with Norfolk pine, clean and tidy with good kitchen provisions and BBQ and lovely views over the surrounding paddocks. We loved sitting outside under the verandah watching the cows go by in the neighbouring paddock and the wild hens pecking in the grass in front of us.Waynealso provided us with a hire vehicle for only $15 per day to cover the excess insurance. My friend and I liked the idea of being able to buy a few groceries for breakfasts and lunches and having the option dining at home if we wanted.Dii Elduu is only a couple of minutes drive away from Puppys' Point - the location for the famous Island Fish Frys.
There is also a larger house on the same property for rent if required for more guests.

Thankyou Wayne for our comfortable stay on Norfolk - we'll be sure to contact you when we return to the Island.

Dii Elduu house was the perfect place for our family of 2 adults and 4 kids ages 2,4,6 & 10.

On arrival our lovely 6 seater rental car that owner Wayne rented to us had been fitted with baby car seat and booster seat for the kids.

We arrived at the property and were immediately amazed by the wide open grassed areas for the kids to run free in.

The house had been set up with a cot and we were also given a high chair and pram to use.

Being able to have all of this provided and at no extra cost was such a big bonus for our family. The house has 3 great sized bedrooms, the bathrooms were generous size. Everything was cleaned immaculately and the house was perfect for a family our size.

The kitchen had everything you need and more...including a diahwasher which was great.

Beautiful outdoor setting with brand new bbq meant we did plenty of outdoor entertaining.

Beach towels provided and Wayne even gave us snorkelling gear to use. This was our best holiday ever.

Wonderful accommodation, great value, totally stress free.
If i could give 10 stars i would.

Thanks Wayne and all at Norfolk Island Holiday Homes. We will be back 😀

I stayed at Dii Elduu three bedroom house with my year old mum and daughter and two grand children. what a wonderful spot. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and far enough out of town to enjoy the peace and quiet. We had a car as well and not a far drive to the beach and all the other facilities on the island. Great holdiay, weather was perfect and we will be back. Loved it.

Everything was easy and smooth ... pick up at the airport, with hire car ready. Short tour through town, pointing out shops, etc. The friendly locals, who give you a wave when passing .... The warm welcome by Wayne, everything ready for us, explanations, maps, anything we may need to know. A complimentary 1/2 day island round trip was organised for us for the following morning. The house was absolutely beautiful and in tranquil location. Well equipped kitchen, milk in the fridge, comfortable bed, private BBQ and outside area, laundry... there was nothing missing. The recommended restaurant "Dino's" (we had a birthday to celebrate) was stunning and the food delicious. To sum it up - it was a perfect holiday.

I just recently returned from Norfork Island..
My cousin and I stayed at Dii Elduu cottage, it's a perfect little place to stay.
2 bedrooms each with its own ensuite, fully equipped with everything you need for a stress free vacation. it has its own washing machine,
Lovely kitchen and lounge area, outside has a bbq and large outdoor setting...
There is also a 3 bedroom house on the property which would house a lage family easily...
I'm including some photos of the island that I took while I was over there...
I would highly recommend a holiday to Norfolk and I would highly recommend Dii Elduu for a stress free holiday...
If you want to see what paradise is all about, then visit Norfolk Island and stay at Dii Elduu...
I guarantee you will not be disappointed...

We stayed a week with a couple of friends at the 3 bedroom house. We were upgraded from the two bedroom cottage. We really enjoyed the setting, very quiet, everything in the house you could ask for, very clean and well maintained. Recommend this property to all.
