Stayed here recently for a baseball game. Good location with lots of parking and nice common areas. I am really disappointed that Hampton is not making an effort to at least provide some sort of hot breakfast as some of the other comparable chains are doing. I feel like I should get a break on price if all I get is a muffin in a brown paper bag.

Great check in (on our app) and quiet room. I kind of thought the hotel was empty but when we left early the next day there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. Close to restaurants. Shower was a little chilly tho.

Imagine my surprise when I found NO Closet and 3 very small wire baskets for my personal belongings for a weeks worth of traveling. Are Hilton corporate marketing employees that stupid to think a traveling business person would not need a place to hang clothes and keep personal items out of sight. Perhaps they are going for the one night only or even a room rental by the hour where there is no need of any storage. That is all this room is good for, a one night stay. And you can forget about breakfast. Customer satisfaction is no longer a concern at Hampton Inn; your money is the main concern. They charge you before you even see the room. I guess that’s the only way people will stay. No refunds.

We always stay at Hilton hotels and when traveling through Joplin- it was no different. Good parking and several nice restaurants super close by! The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was great it was just how a situation was handled that was not professional. Within a few hours of checking in, we realized our air was not working. I contacted the front desk and was told to unplug it and hit reset. Okay so we tried it a few times with no luck. Being the time at night, I knew there wouldn’t be any way for maintenance to take a look so we just handled it. Super humid. I did let the receptionist know upon checking out and she said she would write it down for maintenance to look at. I thought for sure we could be at least been offered a different room the night…

This is a nice hotel but unfortunately I found that they weren’t enforcing masks for guests and I even passed a few staff members who were not wearing masks. Maybe I’m paranoid because I’m from the East Coast but this made me very unhappy. There’s a big sign on the door that says masks are required but no one is saying anything to unmasked guests. As we are traveling across the country I have stayed in no less than 10 Hampton Inns and this is the first one with an issue. The breakfast bags were subpar as well and included a water and a small coffee cake and an apple. At the last Hampton we got juice, a hot entrée to microwave in our room, an apple and two additional sweets, which we ate later in the day.

I’m not given to poor reviews, but, I feel I must warn other “trippers” about the “weird” layout of this “remodeled” Hampton Inn. I wish someone had warned me! It would probably be ok for a person traveling alone but not for 2 or more persons traveling together. Reasons? No privacy! Bathroom door now opens facing the beds! There is a noisy sliding door that doesn’t seal, allowing light and “sounds” to escape out into the room. Pity the poor individual who is sleeping literally 4 to 6 feet from all this bathroom activity! Also, to save space, they have eliminated the closets. There are now 3 hooks on the far wall, behind a curtain, to hang your clothes on. If this is the “future wave” of Hampton Inns then this “tripper” will have to stay elsewhere. Due to the Covid-19…

Warm cookies and warm smiles greeted us upon arrival. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating...would definitely stay here again! The breakfast was better than your average complementary breakfast.

Location was convenient, room was clean, breakfast was just what we needed. Employees were all friendly and welcoming and helpful. We stayed at two different Hampton Inns on this trip and both were consistent with this same review.

Amazing stay at Hampton Inn, Joplin. Nice hotel and amazing staff. It was a last minute reservation and didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be a great stay and would definitely stay there again.
