We booked 6 nights in the Rose Suite as a lovely getaway as we were visiting from America. . Upon arrival Kathy greeted us and showed us to our suite. She said she had no one booked into the downstairs Cupid Suite and offered for us to stay there if we would like. I was absolutely blown away and upon walking into this immacutely kept Suite with a 4 poster bed, a double spa bathtub and a warm and inviting fireplace, I couldn't think of anything more romantic. The Suite was so nicely decorated and the home made cupcakes and banana bread was to die for. I couldn't thank Kathy enough for making our week so enjoyable.
I give Kathy and Granny's Cottage 6 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
As for the previous review from an Elizabeth F, I have no idea why on earth she would give this amazing place 1 star. It was the most romantic place we have ever stayed. She must be a bitter and hard to please woman.

Easy to find. Plenty of parking, cozy accommodation, abundant breakfast supplies, great host too.

Port and chocolate waiting for us upon arrival.
There were even some banana muffins.

Great attention to detail.

The area is full of natural beauty, of which we did as much as we could. Lookouts, beach walks, cafe's, entertainment... Bouddi National park a few minutes drive away (See photo) ...easy

We have just returned from two weeks at Granny's cottage. This is a bed and breakfast which is located in a very tranquil setting about an hour and half north of Sydney. The owner of the B&B lives in the house next door so it is very private. The B & B itself is in heritage home type house that sleeps up to six people downstairs and 2 people upstairs. Downstairs is basically a home a way from home with a fully equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms and a very big bathroom with a soaker tub along with a washer and dryer. Your private sitting room has big bay windows that look out over the backyard and every day you could enjoy watching a variety of birds out in the tree, there were wild turkeys, cockatoos and kookoburrows (sp?). You are also a 5 minute walk from Bondi National Park and Putty Beach (which was never crowded). The setting is so lovely that it was hard to draw ourselves away from the house. Kathy is the owner/operator of this establishment and she leaves you to your own devices and doesn't bother you unless you want her to. She makes sure that all your needs are taken care of. As this was our first time to this part of Australia the accomodations helped make the holiday one of our most memorable experiences ever.

Wow, this place is truly amazing - and I haven't even left the balcony yet.
Lorrikeets, parrots, kookaburras in to share breakfast, sounds of the waves close by. Truly magic!! I wish I had found this place sooner. Spotlessly clean, all the mod
cons.

Stayed here as a last minute decision, when other plans didn't work out.
The best decision- ended up staying 5 nights in Rose Cottage... great price, clean, tidy and close to beach. Beautiful location and great host/owner. Will be back, highly recommended. Thank you Kathy.

We just spent 2 weeks at the cottage and what a wonderful stay it was. Kathy is the perfect host of the B & B. We had wonderful food left for us, we had port and cakes and chocolates, what a wonderful time we had there. You awake to the sounds of all the birds singing. It is spotless and well decorated just like you were in your own home. Internet is not great, but we did not care, it was good not to have to use it! If we come back to Australia this is where we will stay again. We are from the USA and could not have been more pleased with such a wonderful place and great location. Near the beach and right in the Bouddi national park. Thank you Kathy for making our stay so memorable. Merry Christmas ... Sandra and Bob
Thanks for the Christmas present, Happy New Year!

We have enjoyed three nights at treetops. Whilst all the rooms in the house are great the best part of new house is the large deck. It is such a wonderful place to relax, eat out and enjoy the birdlife. You are only a short walk on the flat to the stunning Puttey beach and over the small hill is Pretty beach with superb views across the water. There are a choice of very good cafes within walking distance. We walked along the path to Wagstaffe and caught the ferry to Palm beach which was a fabulous day out. Would love to return here at some point. Could not be better.

Our family of 6 have just stayed in the wonderful Tree Tops holiday house which is a part of Granny's Cottages. A lovely quaint B&B which has the most beautiful balcony where you really were in the "tree-tops" - singing birds was the only sound to be heard, except for the distant waves on the nearby beach - a short 5 min walk. Tree Tops has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, TV with lots of DVDs, and huge continental breakfast, as well as a delicious 'welcome' date loaf, homemade by the lovely friendly owner, Kathy, who made our stay so homely. There is so much to do and see, or just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility. We all loved our stay in Tree Tops and will definitely be returning.

We were looking for a few days break on the central coast and Granny's cottage came up on a google search.

What a find, we stayed in the Rose Suite, the attention to detail is fantastic, the bed is superbly comfortable too and the sound of pounding surf was great.

Granny's cottage does not have a cook top, but has an electric small portable oven, microwave and electric frying pan, along with toaster and kettle which catered easily for the wonderful breakfast provisions that are left for you.

A lovely touch was the port with chocolates and Sue's wonderful cakes.

The walk to the beach is not too far, also we walked to the Bouddi national park and walked the coastal path which was great.

The little town centre has a few restaurants, but none seemed to be open for dinner on the Wednesday night that we were arrived, but we were able to buy some food for microwaving from the Liquorstop store.

The Liquorstop sells a small selection of food and alcohol but is quite expensive. The Fat Goose has nice fresh bread for sale.

Granny's cottage does not have a cook top, but has an electric small portable oven, microwave and electric frying pan, along with toaster and kettle.

We had no trouble with our Telstra mobile 'dongle', it worked perfectly for internet on the balcony.

Have already recommended this to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Granny's Cottage for four nights while we attended a wedding in Killcare over Easter weekend. It was such a wonderful stay!
The location is perfect and everything is accessible from there: hikes in the national park, beach, restaurants and cafes, even a church. We were provided good food and, because we could prepare it ourselves, it meant we could do everything in our own time. And we had all the amenities we needed. We could get away from internet – which we wanted to – but could also get on a wifi network nearby (at Granny's Cottage and Tree Tops, next door) if we needed to.
Our host was so kind, she even took us to the ferry when we had to leave on a public holiday morning when there was little public transport available.
In short, we had an absolutely wonderful time!

Dear Ellie, Thank you for your enquiry, however we do have a minimum 2 night booking policy at weekends. The tariff for the 2 nights in our Rose Suite is just $280. This is the only room we have available as other guests for the wedding have already made bookings. Please call direct on 43601950 if you wish to confirm a booking or ask any questions. Kindest regards, Granny's Cottage
