Not a bad little stay in the middle of Richmond, however, we weren't told that there would be construction starting early in the morning, so we were woken up by a beeping scissor lift and a tradie at our bedroom window at 7am. Would have been more okay if this was communicated to us prior to checking in, and it wouldn't have changed our plans so much as we would have closed our blinds and been prepared for a 7am wakeup.

Room Tip: Avoid staying there if you want to sleep in. The food and coffee is good pub food though

Menu limited. Had chicken schnitzel sauce was watery, lacked substance, not smooth and creamy as expected. Very Disappointing. Steak with pepper sauce- sauce was also weak and flavourless, steak little over cooked. All round Disappointing meal.

I thought we we’re getting accommodation in the stables with stone walls, we were in stables but upstairs with sloping roof. Our 2 bedroom was very comfortable BUT one single bed didn’t have a mattress protector and the double bed had the thinnest oldest protector you could see through. Our blind in the kitchen was taped open. The bathroom was extremely run down. There is no lift so we had to carry our bags upstairs.

Firstly , no signage for reception/check in. You check in with the barman. Who knew?! The room was a dump. Dirty cupboard with missing handles and black scuff marks . Long black hairs on the carpet and bed cover. Also, someone picked their nose, wiped it on the white cover. Long brown hair on one of my towels also. FYI, I’m blonde so none of these hairs are mine. Hard dried snot had clearly been on the bed cover for sometime. So the bed linen does not get changed after each guest!! Never mind basic good hygiene, what about Covid 19 risks ? The communal doors for guests to gain entry and exit are disgustingly filthy !! The filth on the doors themselves is a serious health hazard. The doors on the shared bathroom are in the same disgusting state. I have attached photos of all of the above. Just seen a pubic hair on the bed now too. This place place should come with a filth alert!!
