Met up with some good friends for dinner. Was seated in the dinning room with access to bar. Great pub menu options and very quick friendly service. I chose roast pork for under $20 which was absolutely beautiful. It was very tender and a good size serving of meat with vegetables. There is a half roast for a smaller serving....

A mate and I popped in at about 1pm on a Sunday... all we wanted was a cold drink, and some chips'n'gravey. We've often visited this place, and had great experiences, however, today we were met with 'sorry, the kitchen isn't taking any more orders'. It was the middle of Lunch, on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Very unprofessional!!!

This is the place to stay if there isn't a lot of cash to spare and you want something right in the middle of town. The beds are clean and comfortable, but not a lot of money was spent on the rest of the furniture. Breakfast was included in our visit and this meant that one of the people that...

Granted it was the only place for dinner whilst we were staying in Richmond, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. As long as you come with the right attitude and expectations of this type of establisment you will enjoy your experience. We would have no problems eating here again.

The hotel is the only place in town to eat of an evening. The food is so overpriced and of such poor quality that I will never go there again I ordered a schnitzel and when it came I looked in amazement at what was served. A small piece of chicken crumbed straight from the freezer into the deep fryer and...

Not a lot of places to choose from in Richmond so we ended up here for a family lunch. Prices on the high end for pub meals and waited over an hour for food. Wouldn't mind either of those things if the food was good, but it was way below average, not even nice chips, which you really should be...

I spent over 3 1/2 hrs in Richmond this afternoon walking around the various Historic Sites before deciding on lunch. Unfortunately The Richmond Arms stopped serving lunch at 2 pm so I had to make do with a packet of Smiths Crisps and a Pint of Cascade Draught..... An old establishment with a lively bar scene.

Went for counter meal Saturday night. Meals were enjoyable without being outstanding. Table service was friendly and prompt. Plenty of choices on menu. Great atmosphere and country pub vibe. Would definitely go again.

From accommodation to public bar, this place oozes old world charm and character. It is popular with tourists and locals alike. Very good variety of meals on offer and very cosy accommodation in The Stables
