Not a lot of places to choose from in Richmond so we ended up here for a family lunch. Prices on the high end for pub meals and waited over an hour for food. Wouldn't mind either of those things if the food was good, but it was way below average, not even nice chips, which you really should be...

I spent over 3 1/2 hrs in Richmond this afternoon walking around the various Historic Sites before deciding on lunch. Unfortunately The Richmond Arms stopped serving lunch at 2 pm so I had to make do with a packet of Smiths Crisps and a Pint of Cascade Draught..... An old establishment with a lively bar scene.

Went for counter meal Saturday night. Meals were enjoyable without being outstanding. Table service was friendly and prompt. Plenty of choices on menu. Great atmosphere and country pub vibe. Would definitely go again.

From accommodation to public bar, this place oozes old world charm and character. It is popular with tourists and locals alike. Very good variety of meals on offer and very cosy accommodation in The Stables

The selection is slightly below a standard counter meal menu. Garlic bread was very nice. Mains were nice enough but nothing to write home about. Accompanying Salad was very average. Upside- the scallops were "Tasmanian" - caught in Australian waters or farmed in Tasmania. Whichever, they were ok. Price is up there for the counter meal we received. Not bad...

We stayed at the Stables accommodation and it was just lovely! Clean at The Richmond Arms, it was warm, comfy and spacious- and cheap! Went to down to eat at the Arms- what lovely staff, it's a quaint pub with delicious food- the beef and Guinness Pie was def worth it! Centrally located it's easy walking right around Richmond!

We went to the pub on recommendation from the place we were staying at, so I can only hope it was a bad day. We both had seafood meals and both were below average. The seafood was overcooked, the chips from a packet and the salad was laughable. Hubby had australian scollops with no roe. It was overpriced and a...

This is the go-to place for an evening meal in Richmond. Umm, that is to say... it's pretty much the only place for an evening meal in Richmond. As in, only place open. The potential is good. Character stone building. Warm log fire inside in winter. Reasonable pub grub. Some local wines (although not enough). Its strength though (only place...

Very disappointed with the food. My friend had the crumbed scallops, salad and chips. Scallops were over cooked, leaving them tough, with a burnt taste. I had the roast lamb and vegetables, lamb was quite nice, potatoes were dry, broccoli very very under cooked. Staff very friendly, pub needs renovating.
