Thanks so much Tara and family for taking such good care of us. We had a great time feeding the chooks, sheep, rabbits and horse! The accommodation is really comfortable, warm and nicely decorated. Fresh bread and strawberries each morning is an absolute treat! We highly recommend this place for people who are looking for a farmstay experience. Only a...

Everything was wonderful for our one night stay. We wish we had stayed here longer and driven into Hobart daily. Very clean, modern, warm, quiet. The breakfast basket was divine with homemade bread and jams. The smaller apartment has a little kitchen and there is even a washing machine so we were able to leave with clean clothes. Tara is...

Thank you Janette. We're delighted that you enjoyed the home made bread and jams. Being located just 30 mins drive from the centre of Hobart city - but still in a completely rural setting is a great bonus and means our guests can enjoy the best of both worlds when they come to stay. Thanks again. Tara.

I made the mistake of only staying the last 2 nights there. Friendly family run barn. Loved the selection of the breakfast basket. Everything to do with this place is fresh and amazing. Only 1 little issue is the shower floor is slippery when wet. (maybe an option is some grip mat or non slip mat). Plan on returning in...

What is not to like.I was expecting something simple, but we received a huge modern well considered apartment, with everything we could possibly require. If you need accommodation in the Richmond area look no further. There are apparently two apartments ,we stayed in the wellington.as its a farm stay you do need a car.Bite the bullet and just go there.

A friend and I stayed at Tara's for one night with our children, for a little escape from the city. It was incredibly clean with everything we needed. Tara was so helpful and friendly, the children loved their little horse ride and feeding the sheep and rabbits. Breakfast was amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Thanks for coming to stay and I'm pleased your children loved the animals. Hopefully you'll pop out for another night some time - we're not far from Hobart.

I had done the research and Tara's lived up to our hopes of 'a home away from home'. We stayed last week as a family of 5, three adults and two young teens.... My 11 yr old granddaughter was in love with the animals and got to hold the new born bunnies. My grandson of 14 loved the breakfast basket,...

Stayed 2 nights at the Sugarloaf apartment in Taras Farmstay which is located a short distance away from Richmond Village. What I like: - Taras provide a daily basket full of fresh goodies, in particular a freshly baked and warm loaf of bread. - a fresh carton of milk and 2 bottles of juices is provided everyday - the apartment...

We only stayed one night at Taras farmstay but was a memorable and postitive experience. Our 4 year old loved meeting all the farm animals, even getting to ride Flossie the horse. Tara was very welcoming and we learnt a lot about farm life in the farm tour. Breakfast was great, loved waking up to the smell of fresh bread....

This is the most amazing place to stay. My whole family are intent on coming back next year. The children will have a ball and the adults will be able to relax and enjoy the setting. We were truly impressed by our week long family holiday at Tara's farmstay - from the little touches such as the welcoming note on the blackboard to the daily breakfast basket of goodies and the patience of showing us the ropes of feeding the animals and daily rides on Flossie for our 9 and 5 yo daughters.
