My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the cottage and my review is a mixed one. For history, memories, ambiance and quietness I would give 5 stars. For reasons of cleanliness I would give 3 stars. This is because when we checked in there were cobwebs in a couple of rooms and the place was quite musty, with dust gathering here and there. Almost like it hadn't been aired for a while. Having said that everything you want is there, with some trimmings such as bread, milk, eggs, Port and some chocolates. Fire wood was provided and the fire place set up as well ready to light. All kitchen needs were there including some alfoil and gladwrap. Once moved in, there is nothing you will need. It even has a washing machine. Sitting by the fire pouring a port and then reading the history of the cottage was brilliant. We really enjoyed out stay and I have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to others. Its a great getaway place.
