We stayed for 2 nights and even with Covid19 restrictions, it was a great place to stay. The lady on the front desk couldn’t have been nicer. Our suite (kitchenette/living room/bedroom/bathroom) was perfect. Loads of space and very comfortable and extremely clean. Sadly, there were no food or eating options but there were several places to eat in the area. Price was reasonable. We would definitely return.
We stayed one night when we took our family to L'Anse aux Meadows. We have three kids and our room was spacious for our family of five. The pull out murphy bed was comfortable for my 11-year old daughter. The room was updated and clean. We made use of the laundry facilities and they were in good working order. The breakfast in the morning was simple but fresh and the breakfast room was large with lots of natural light. The service was great as the lady at the front desk showed me to my room and when I asked her for restaurant suggestions for dinner, she happily recommended a place and let me browse a few menus she had handy to compare restaurants in the area. A very pleasant stay in St. Anthony!
Our ferry to Labrador was cancelled b/c of weather. Grenfell Heritage saved our bacon by getting us a room a day early. Very nice stay. Room was clean. People were helpful with recommendations and were so friendly. We were very comfortable. Great stay and great people!
Great central location. Friendly and competent staff made sure we saw all of the local sights. Clean and comfortable rooms. Parking lot could use better lighting and pavement. Basic continental breakfast included.
We stayed two nights awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Dorion, which turned out to be a bit of a bust. We had hoped for a little more excitement actually. Nonetheless our unit was squeeky clean, beds very comfortable but what made it was Marilyn (who had a million stories to tell as only a Newfoundlander can) and Lillian who shared a couple of our favorite Newfoundland songs in the lobby as the storm passed us by. You don’t get that in a Holiday Express. Yes the breakfast is not designed for anyone looking for some protein item but a little fridge with some yogurt, hard boiled eggs and cheeses would provide a second choice. Felt like part of the family. We checked out before breakfast as we had a 10 hour drive ahead of us and the very accommodating man at the front desk provided a couple of muffins for our journey…
