They aren’t kidding when they say it is a steep uphill to get there. We came by bus and it was definitely hard to climb up, up, up with our luggage. But worth it for the beautiful view, the pool & gardens and the lovely, spacious and clean room. So nice to have a kitchen, especially to freeze water for the beach. Grocery store is really close so easy to cook your own meals. A negative was the Wifi didn’t work at all the entire time we were there, which was frustrating as we missed information about our next train trip being cancelled due to a strike, were trying to do some further trip planning on our relaxing days and we couldn’t stream a movie (almost all the zillion channels on the TV are German). Also annoying that you can’t pay with a Credit. We’d also suggest screens in the sliding doors as we had to leave one open to cool down the room (nor air-con) but then it didn’t feel safe and the mosquitoes could come right in!

If you're staying in the Algarve, you'd be hard pressed to find a place that better meets your needs at such a good value. Clean, comfortable rooms, a pool to swim in or lounge around, a nice hilltop location in a wonderful seaside village, and a friendly, knowledgeable proprietor who is a good source for all things Algarve. All that with breakfast included. Definitely worth considering.

Booked this villa B & B just before leaving UK following a read of german website.
Villa exactly as advertised. We chose to stay in the en-suite room - slightly more per night but larger room, and good terrace. There is also a garden en-suite room which may be larger and more private but looks out to the back of the villa without the sea views.
We were the only guests so felt like we had our own villa! Small but very clean and delightful pool for morning and late afternoon swims, especially if seas a little wild. Breakfast is prepared and left available in the kitchen, so you can eat where and when you like - we liked that flexibility. The kitchen was well equipped with fridges for our own food and drinks and the ability to cook if you want to.
A very friendly owner. Good value compared to surrounding options. Hill climb back from the village though, after dinner!
Salema is a great little place, lovely town beach, good mix of restaurants and nothing much else to do but go to fantastic beaches in area.

We booked a place last minute in the Algarve. M6 was very clean and generally comfortable. I would have given it 4 stars, but there were a few things that bumped it down to average.

But first, the good:

- The owner Heiwi is from Germany, very nice and helpful. He even picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. He responds quickly and is a kind man. He even gave us some tips for the area which was much appreciated.
- Very clean accommodation
- Well-equipped kitchen
- Lovely grounds
- Hearty German breakfast

The not so good:

- No fruit for breakfast, and a protein item (i.e. egg or yogurt) offered only on some days.
- The bed was extremely uncomfortable (hard) for both of us. We stayed in the en suite with the garden view.
- For a 5-night stay, the bed sheets were not changed or the room tidied up on our behalf. For a B&B, I would have expected this. We did receive a clean set of towels once, however.
- There was a lot of deep coughing from upstairs that woke us in the night.
- The rooms got very stuffy, so we left the bathroom window and sliding glass door open at night. However, there are no screens so mosquitos came in 4 out of 5 nights. One night we had 9 (!) mosquitos come into the room and we both have bites from it.

So, all in all the stay was average. Not sure of the other prices in the area, but for 70 euros a night I don't feel as though it was a good value.

I stayed at this villa in late october and must say it was a little pradiese on earth. It is run by a relaxed couple who are very helpful in giving good tipps for sightseeing, restaurants, little beaches ...in the surrounding area. The rooms are spotless clean and nicely decorated and a breakfastroom with a little kitchen/fridge and an excellent breakfast. The villa is overlooking Salema village and the beach is just a short walk away. I spent some evenings relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine after a BBQ and strolling the pathways leading round a well landscaped garden. I WILL RETURN !
