Detailed Reviews
Great week in Casa Kissa, on the top of a very steep, very steep hill. Stop at the mini mart half way up for a break. Salema is great in September, possible different in August but all of Portugal is. Lovely beaches, walks and restaurants. Villa is lovely, very peaceful and well put together. We would get up and sun bathe by the pool, cool off in the pool then head out for the afternoon and return after dinner. All very relaxing. Booking process was very straight forward so thanks to Ben for helping there. Maria met us on arrival and left water, wine, washing up liquid, washing tabs, loo roll etc. we nipped to the super market and bought whatever else we needed and to replace what we used. A nice company, nice people and a nice villa. Thanks all for providing a great holiday!

This has to be one of the most beautiful holiday locations in the world! We’ve had sunshine all week, have watched the sunrise every morning ( it’s spring time so not too early) , we’ve enjoyed the sea views from various locations around the property and a cosy fire at night. The villa is comfortable and spacious, with a fun games room downstairs where we’ve played pool, darts, table football and table tennis on the evenings that we haven’t walked into the village to eat. The pool looks idyllic but a tad too cold for us still, but the jacuzzi has been fun. We haven’t made use of the barbecue area - but it’s all fully functioning.
This would be a perfect family holiday villa because there’s something for everyone!

Took my family to lovely Salema on the unspoilt end of the Algarve. If you want a holiday at your pace away from the noise and hussle, try this. The Villa is a beautiful 3 level building with a pool plus toddler splash pool. The villa comes with everything you could possibly want. The building is in excellent condition and spacy. Salema is well placed with some good restaurants in the village. A supermarket is on the main road and only ten minutes away. Some of the best surfing in the world is available along the Atlantic coast about 20 mins drive via Bispo. I cannot recommend the location highly enough. The villa is located on a cliff overlooking the sea with magnificent views. No faults, just a lovely holiday.

We booked this villa for my 31st.
It's in a brilliant location. The local fishing town is great, nice little bars and a few great restaurants.
The villa has plenty of room. Swimming pool good size, nice hot tub, good size bedrooms with excellent views.
We went in April knowing the weather would not be amazing but better than England. We picked this villa because it looked great and had a heated swimming pool. We got there only to find out that the heating pump was broke. The manager did say come Monday they should be able to fix it. They could not. Then they informed us that the heating would be pointless as it makes no difference in April. Which I did ask the manger in pre booking, pool heating would be needed.
It's meant to be luxury villa... humm... furniture old, leather chairs got rips. Beds are single beds zipped together which you can feel.
Otherwise it is a real nice place, the location and views is the best thing about it.

For nine out of the ten of us it was our first visit to both Salema and Portugal, and what an introduction - wonderful food from Dave and Nicki, stunning views out to sea, Mike the owner was a great tour guide showing us around and imparting interesting information of local places and sites and beaches we would never have seen had we tried to do it alone. The accommodation and amenities at Casa das Estevas are splendid and are there to be enjoyed should you just want to relax. We went for a holiday with bowls, and the three clubs we played at, (organised by Mike), were good and the opponents friendly and welcoming, supplying us with bowls and good food.. We would definitely recommend this holiday to any bowlers, or indeed walkers, artists, etc and is also an excellent location for family self-catering.

We had a fabulous stay at Casa Kissa in September 2018.
The villa is in a brilliant location with the most amazing views. Inside was immaculate, well equipped and very comfortable. We very much enjoyed the heated pool, not huge but big enough for a dip after a day at the beach. It was lovely to sit on the terrace each morning and watch the sunrise and bbq in the evening.
Special thanks to Ben and Lauren from Simply Salema who made the booking process so easy and were very helpful in answering any query we had.
Also thanks to Paulo the onsite manager who again was very helpful and easy to contact if needed during our stay.
Salema is the most beautiful, cute, friendly village with the most amazing restaurants and a lovely little cocktail bar! Beaches were wonderfully clean with no plastic or rubbish being washed up!!
This was our first visit to Salema and we certainly hope it won't be our last! :)
September was a lovely time to visit. I believe it can be much busier during the height of the summer but then again that's pretty much the the same everywhere.
I'm so glad I found Simply Salema, you do a superb job, thank you and well done!

A group of 6 of us went to the Villa as part of a week long health retreat. We took two personal trainers with us and used the villa as our base to train in the morning and relax in the evenings. The location and facilities of the villa is fantastic! The chef was able to adapt his meal's to our specific requests and the food was fantastic! Our day trips were fully organised by the Villa owner and his manager and were incredible, we went seas kayaking, mountain biking, guided treking, played tennis, surfing and sea swimming. Each day was different and an incredible challenge. We all enjoyed our trip so much we have been back twice... we hope to go again next year!

This year it was my second visit to Salema and Casa das Estevas neither of which disappointed. Both holidays have been with a group of friends so we all enjoyed making use of the great facilities the villa has to offer, we spent happy evenings relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine after a BBQ and sampling the various bars and restaurants in Salema. The villa is in a brilliant location and is maintained to a very high standard throughout. It is clean and well equipped and with each bedroom having its own bathroom it was great for us as a big group. It is a short walk to the bars, restaurants and beach front of Salema and in a good position for trips out to Lagos and the traditional markets. Also, a short drive takes you to some other beautiful beaches around the coast. I will definitely be booking a holiday at Casa das Estevas next year.

This is by far the best villa we have ever stayed in. It is truly luxurious and the location is perfect with direct access onto an unspoiled beach. The team at Simply Salema provided a very personalised service and couldn't be more helpful. The location is great in the village of Salema and the villa has everything and more. We will definitely be returning and have no hesitation in recommending both this villa and Simply Salema.
