The hotel is 'slap bang' in the middle of the village, 100m from the beach. Every room has a small balcony with a sea view. The staff are very accommodating and it was a pleasure to return to the room to find made beds and rooms clean and tidy. The breakfast was adequate rather than good, in my view; there...

We have friends who own a villa in Salema and were all going out to celebrate a Birthday. So there were 8 couples staying there for different lengths of time. We booked a double room. The rooms are basic but have everything that you need, air conditioning is efficient and quiet. Shower rooms are very small but spotless, balconies all...

We read about Salema in Rick Steves book...that it was a smaller fishing/beach town that hadn't got overdeveloped like some other places in the Algarve region. He was right, and we stayed at the hotel he recommended. It's right in the centre, just across the road from the beach. The parking is free, but there is no designated lot...just wherever...

The hotel is literally across the road from what is a lovely beach at Salema. We have been visiting The village for 25 years but never stayed there until now. The hotel breakfast is a grand little buffet with loads of fresh bread. There is a tiny lift if you need it to get to the upper floors. Rooms are...

We stayed for a week at Hotel Residencial and found the rooms to be spotlessly clean, comfortable & air conditioned. The breakfast was good, a nice continental breakfast was provided with various breads, cheese, ham, fruit and scrambled eggs. The hotel is extremely reasonable in terms of price for a week long summer holiday & the staff are lovely &...

We stayed at the Residencial for 4 nights for a mini moon break straight after our wedding in July. Upon arriving, we were put up in their best room on the 4th floor, and had champagne, chocolates, flowers and a nice card waiting for us in the room. This was such a lovely touch, as we know they would have...

Very comfortable and clean hotel with a nice staff. The hotel looks out onto the beach and is a short walk away from the beach and several local restaurants. The hotel has an elevator. The room is basic with an extremely small but cute balcony and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was included. Good coffee,an assortment of teas, cereals, bread and...

Exceptional good value hotel with friendly and helpful staff virtually on the beach at Salema. Large clean room with balcony and bath. 2 minutes from the bus stop for Lagos or Sagres. Highly recommended.

We were booked in here for one night. Would recommend it as it is in a very good location in the little seaside village. The room was clean and we had a balcony to sit out and get some evening sun. Was tidy and comfortable. We will probably book again as the continental breakfast made it an even better stay....

Older well kept hotel overlooking beach in a quiet village with good restaurants. Rooms good size with small balcony. Good basic breakfast buffet with fruit, breads, eggs, cheese etc included but does not start until 8 o'clock but nearby restaurants are open.
