My husband & I seek boutique accommodations for the peace & quiet. The Romantik Villa met our expectations. It's located on a quiet street above the village with a steep 15 walk to/from the village & the beach. Our room was spacious & located on the second floor with a view of the pool & the ocean in the distance. It had a small kitchenette & fridge adequate to make our breakfasts & store lunch items. The kitchenette was well stocked with coffee, tea, granola, jams, juice & almond/oat milk and yogurt. Olivier delivered fresh pastries daily. There is also an honor bar located on the premises. We enjoyed our continental breakfasts on our terrace every morning. Our room was spacious, clean & well-maintained as were the common areas including the pool. The bed was very comfortable. Olivier offered the use of a clothes-line to hang our laundry. The nearby beach is quite lovely with cabanas available for a modest cost. We enjoyed several restaurants in the village. See separate reviews. Olivier also provided assistance in printing our RT-PCR tests & boarding passes. Our stay in the Algarve was everything we had hoped for...beautiful and relaxing!

We stayed with Olivier for 1 week, and had the best holiday! The villa is split into individual suites, each with its own terrace and views out to the sea. The room was perfect - very spacious, newly and stylishly decorated and the kitchenette was a very useful addition to have. The setting of the villa is in lush gardens, and the pool is a great size for a dip. It’s only a short (and steep!) walk to Salema, which has a lovely beach and great restaurants. Olivier was a wonderful host - full of tips, ideas and gave us a very warm welcome. Lovely pastries in the morning were a great bonus. A very memorable trip - made even better by such a lovely villa and host!

Clearly in my opinion this is the best place to stay in Salema. Olivier is the perfect host and Papaya his side-kick is such a cute beautiful Golden Retriever. The room came with a bottle of wine and fresh warm pastry's every morning for breakfast. The room was large with a small kitchen. Extremely clean and a beautiful view of the town of Salema below. Ample parking, beautiful pool. This is a great place, and if after reading all the 5 star reviews it's obvious that Romantik Villa is the finest place to stay in Salema regardless of TA's scoring system. Restaurants within walking distance too. I wish I had the time to go back and stay a couple of weeks in the summer as I am sure it's absolutely phenomenal.

Our room at Romantik Villa was #4 and it was large, clean and comfortable. We got excellent service from Fobienne who delivered fresh buns and sweets or bread every morning. The yard and the pool area was beautiful. We were able to chat with others staying there because everyone sat out in the warm evenings or at the pool sometimes during the day. We were able to do a load of laundry and cook some eggs in our little kitchen for breakfast. There is an intermarche very close by to stock up on a few things and some good restaurants below in Salema.

We stayed there 3 nights (suite "PRAIA DA SALEMA"), it was very nice. The room is very spacious and very well equipped: very good bedding, fridge, coffee machine, crockery, juicer, TV, shower gel, shampoo, beach/pool towel, bathrobe, umbrella (to go to the beach)... We just left Romantik Villa 3 hours ago and already missing the place. Olivier made sure we had everything we need. Our loft has a full kitchen where we made breakfast ourselves. There were milk, juice, coffee, eggs, fruits, and water. Then in the morning, there were plenty of fresh pastries waiting for us. Our loft was clean with a billion dollar view. Papaya, the white golden retriever, is so well trained and mannered. Takes about 6 mins to walk down to the beautiful beach. Olivier let us is his washing machine. This is an unforgettable place. Fabulous, well maintained property. We had one of the ground floor suites with pool view for our 3 night stay. We we welcomed by our hosts Patricia and Olivier, who were in regular contact with us prior to our visit. Our suite was of a good size and equipped with a small kitchen. Breakfast basics were provided daily with fresh bread and pastries brought to your room. For those of you self-catering there is a supermarket some 250 metres away. The pool and pool area is great with roman step access. The villa grounds are beautiful and the gardens lush with flowers, trees and vegetation. The property is located in an urban development near the top of the hill behind Salema. The beach is nearby, but a rather steep walk down (and up) the winding hill road to the villa. There is a great select of restaurants in Salema town. Thank you Patricia, Olivier and, of course, Papaya, for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful B&B with a very kind host; Olivier. We can definitely recommend this place. Nice small village, B&B is on top of the hill so good views on the beautiful blue sea and a nice wind. The garden is a little paradise, there is a good pool with more than enough sunbeds for all guests, a super cool beach Olivier has created, so a very relaxing place to stay during the day, or in the evening with a glass of wine on your own private terrace. Salema is a nice village with a few good Portuguese restaurants, and a great beach. Also, trips in the surrounding region are recommended (for example; Praia do Amado). Thanks Olivier, it was awesome.

After two weeks filled with sightseeing, we ended our Portugal visit with a delightfully relaxing week at Romantic Villa. We couldn't have made a better choice. Our hosts Oliver and Patricia were gracious and very helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions to interesting sites nearby. Our attractive suite was nicely appointed with quality linens, a very comfortable bed and a well-stocked refrigerator for our breakfast needs. The fresh rolls that appeared on our balcony each morning were delicious. The pool and gardens were a lovely foreground to our view of the ocean, and the friendly dog was always up for a game of go-fetch. We highly recommend.

Amazing place to stay! Quiet and peaceful with lovely grounds and ocean views. Multiple communal outdoor areas in sun and shade around the pool and elsewhere allow for private enjoyment of the property. Rooms were bright, clean, and chic. Delicious breakfast pastries and rolls are delivered daily to your porch and coffee, tea, butter, jam, and milk are provided in the room’s fridge. Beds were comfy too. Would highly recommend Romantik Villa and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Je suis personnellement doublement vacciné.
Vous ne serai pas en contact avec d'autres personnes cet hiver.
Si c'était le cas je travaille avec des intervenants extérieurs donc je ne peux vous affirmer qu'ils soient tous doublement vaccinés mais 85% de la population portugaise est doublement vacciné.
Il n'y a pas de police d'annulation car je ne demande aucun acompte en basse saison, le séjour est réglé à la fin de celui ci.

Salema est une destination balnéaire propice à la découverte de la nature, au repos et aux plages.
Même en très haute saison la douceur de vivre y est remarquable.
Beaucoup de mes hôtes apprécient avant de venir se reposer et se ressourcer à Romantik Villa de découvrir Lisbonne.
La ville de Lisbonne mérite le détours, c'est un endroit merveilleux, très riche architecturalement et culturellement.
Il ne faut pas oublier de s'éloigner un peu de Lisbonne et prendre le temps de découvrir Cascais et les palais multicolores de Sintra.
