Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a week in October. It suited our family of four perfectly. A very modern clean townhouse, with great amenities, nice and quiet. There is a pool which alot of the families hung around, more for young families. The staff were great, very friendly crew at reception who were happy to pick you up from the beach, it is a ten minute walk and up a hill on the way back.
Salema is really nice, very different from the built up Algarve, a beautiful beach, not at all crowded, easy to park near the beach, working fishermen. my only tip for the area would be to try the restaurants you drive past to get here, O Sabo d'Alegria and O Sapino. They are much more authentic and better value than the restaurants on the beach in Salema.

A long transfer from Faro Airport but wow was it worth it. We were a party of 19 a mixture of adults and children. On arrival our rooms were not ready but we had full access to the pool and towels were supplied by reception. The children with some adults headed straight there whilst a few of the other adults went to the large intermache for supplies. Reception at the hotel organised transport for us there and back €20. Staff at the hotel even helped transport all our shopping ( which included several large crates of beer) to our separate villas. We had paid a little extra for a sea view which was absolutely stunning. So lovely to have breakfast every morning looking out to sea from the balcony. The villas/ town houses are spacious clean and well equipped with everything you need. I had a double room to myself the bed was so comfy and bigger than your average double. The en suite was perfect with gorgeous shower and whirlpool bath. Housekeeping came evey day to clean and straighten your bed covers and supply new towels. The food at the pool bar was delicious and you get plenty of it. Overall 5 stars the staff are lovely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

+1
We went to this hotel as a family of 3 and really enjoyed our stay.
Hotel - the hotel staff are all friendly, the pool was lovely and clean and had a pool bar for food and drinks
We chose a sea view apartment not the best sea view we have ever had however we could see the sea. The apartment was massive over 2 floors. First floor had a large kitchen with all your basic items, large living area with a dining room table and a large balcony with a table and 4 chairs. The sofa was a sofa bed so wasn't very comfy to sit on for long periods of time. The downstairs had 2 bedrooms both with a bathroom. The showers were both really powerful. The only downside to the apartment we stayed in the bathrooms got a bit smelly with sewage smells and had to run all the taps to stop it. The hotel is located at a top of a very steep hill. The hotel provides a shuttle service up and down the hill to the beach. To walk it was about 10mins. Our 3 year old did it a few times but if you have mobility issues you would struggle.
Selema - the beach is gorgeous. Was never too busy. There is a hand full of restaurants which were all very nice. As its a fishing village there is a lot of fish options and all very nice. Each restaurant we went to had children options eg fish fingers and chips, pasta etc.

Mooi huis mooi uitzicht! Huis was tiptop schoon, dagelijkse schoonmaak service prima!

Recomendo vivamente.

I stayed at selema beach village for 9 nights in early July with my husband and 2 young children. This was the 2nd year we stayed, having throughly enjoyed our first stay. The villas are lovely and very clean. The hotel staff are most friendly, particularly catriona on reception, who was most helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. Selema itself is the most beautifil little village with the most spectacular beach. We shall return to the peaceful and tranquil beautiful town of selema
