A wonderful find within the walls of Monsaraz. Each room is influenced by an Eastern country and we were lucky enough to see most of them. We settled on the Goa room which afforded us an amazing view of the sunset from our bed. The rooms are beautifully designed with some lovely details and nice little touches. It is obviously...

Enjoyed staying overnight at this hotel situated within the ancient stone walls of Monsaraz. It's an Old building cleverly refurbished and decorated very imaginatively. Lots of attention to detail and some interesting touches. Typically there are different floor levels, stepping up or down from room to room and steep stairs up to the roof terrace which has views across the...

Our son had stayed here a couple of years ago, and had been impressed enough to mention it again when we decided to have a couple of days in Monsaraz. On arrival we were surprised to be greeted by a Portuguese gentleman, Vitor, as we had been expecting the owners to be two Spanish men. He turned out to be...

We stayed for two nights in Monsaraz. We arrived on a Tuesday and lots of the local craft shops and places inside the walls were closed. Casa pinto has I think five themed rooms and were in the one called Aliyah I think Arabian. The bathroom was amazing with the roof of it being a moorish chimney. The room was...

Immediately after you enter the hotel you'll find yourself in another world. Smell the fragrances of 1001 Nights, let yourself being enchanted by soft music. There are five unique rooms and a small rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy the sun or have a drink in the evening. Breakfast is included in the price.

Sited in the Mansaraz main square, the casa perfect for exploring the walled village. We had a room overlooking the square and church, over a windowsill of beautiful flowering plants. The room was spacious, clean and trendily decorated. Very quiet. Showers and toilets worked perfectly. Wifi in the room was fast. Complaints are minor.... a] the overly Buddhist decor was...

Monsaraz is as picturesque as it gets and Casa Pinto is as fantastic as possible. On a small street of white washed houses is this phenomenal gem of a place. Once inside you could be in Morocco. The attention to detail is outstanding. There's a wonderful roof top terrace complete with a bar and wonderful places to lounge and watch...

This is an amazing B & B. We went with a group of friends for a couple of days walking in the area. The picnic provided for us was superb. The decor of our rooms was fun, the bathrooms in particular were superb. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Wonderful little B&B right in the middle of the walled city of Monsaraz. To get to the hotel you actually have to drive inside the the town through the walls of the city. We parked the car in a car park just ouitside the wall and walked in as we weren't sure what to do. You can drive right up...
