We travelled with our 4 kids and were delighted not only by the Horta itself which has been renivated with taste , but by the way we were welcomed and attended! It was cold outside and we came back to our room to find a lovely fire by the chimney and hot bottles in each bed!!!! Breakfast was really tasty...

I read in one of the comments sth like "we never felt so well treated ". I can complete this comment by saying "we ALSO never felt so well treated, too" ;):) A warm welcome with hot water bottle in bed and candles light on in the private area was my best experience of the hospitality, returning from the city...

This low-key collection of apartments and rooms is in a perfect location for an out of the way experience. it is located outside the walls of Monsaraz which is an amazing walled city. There is a stone circle almost within the grounds of the property which is well worth visiting. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which had a...

This is a beautiful property in the Alentejo wine country. Our group (four women) stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment with a kitchen. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The huge breakfast was amazing -- eggs, various meats, bread, pastries, yogurt -- everything you might want for breakfast, even cake. The pool is gorgeous, especially lit up at...

We stayed here for 2 nights and we absolutely don't regret it. The people were kind and gave us a warm welcome. When we came back in the evening they had even put on candles in our room and made up the beds beautifully. Very nice breakfast in a cozy setting with plenty of cheeses, fresh fruit, homemade cakes and...

Stayed only one night here as we traveled south from Monsanto. Had two rooms and both were very spacious and clean. The grounds were nicely worked and tranquil. My wife and I walked in late evening after returning from dinner in town. This picturesque setting had us dreaming of relocating to a quiet Portuguese ranch ourselves! It was really quite...

Just returned from a short break at this little piece of paradise! The accommodation is spacious with excellent facilities, but what made this place so special was the care and attention of the staff, nothing was too much trouble. They had organized a wine tasting one afternoon for all guests, at no charge and with no sales pressure. The tasting...

surrounded by beautiful nature, is this old farm, now converted into a guest house, in the heart of Alentejo in Portugal - not only are the bedrooms gorgeous, beautifully and rustic decorated, but the service, the genuine friendliness and kindness, the attention to small details, all this us simply out of this world! We never felt so well treated, so...
